Meet beautiful Athena! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl with ID on 3/9. Her family was contacted and they decided not to reclaim her. Sweet Athena was left sitting in an overcrowded shelter wondering what she did wrong. The volunteers describe Athena as a really great dog! She is friendly and attentive to the people around her. Athena is also very smart and she knows several commands including sit, lay down, and stay. Athena is approximately 4 years old, and she weighs 77 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and she has been spayed and microchipped. Athena will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Athena in run 832; her ID # is 654166. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Faithful, obedient Zeus is a handsome Boxer mix boy with a goofy underbite. He knows the sit, stay, down & fetch commands and has great leash manners. Zeus is housetrained & will sleep in his crate although his current owners leave him free in the house to catch a nap while they are out. He is living with another dog, (female) but has never met cats. Zeus would enjoy older children but little ones make him anxious with their sudden movement & noise. Zeus is 52lbs, up to date on vaccines & heartworm prevention & neutered. This is a courtesy posting to ensure this pup lands in a great home. Sasha is one of the most loving dogs you will ever meet. She's not a barker and has never shown any level of temperament towards little kids or other animals. We acquired her as a puppy 8 years ago, but unfortunately went through a divorce about two years ago. I have been caring for Sasha ever since but unfortunately I'm no longer in a position to provide a good home for Sasha. She is the perfect companion, and may be a little boring for the little ones. It was my little ones I had to worry about because toddlers can be very pokey and rough. She is a full breed boxer, and I have all of her papers. This is hard, but I will find comfort in knowing that she is in a loving home. Sasha has a big crate a smaller crate and an electronic feeder with video camera and a water dispenser.
