Story
Meet the most handsome boy in the world! Furkids rescued Oliver from county animal control. While he is a big, strong boy, Oliver is also very loving and sweet! Giving kisses and snuggling are some of his favorite activities! Oliver is currently working on his leash skills as he's very strong. He has doggie friends in the shelter and loves to play. Oliver shows a little too much interest in small animals so a home without cats or small mammals would be best. Oliver weighs 56 lbs., is approximately 5 years old (est. birth date 2/20/2018), and his adoption fee is $175. If you want to know more about Oliver, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
We rescued Gina from a rural shelter after she was found roaming the woods with another Dogo, Tommy. Gina was a hot mess - heartworm positive, pregnant, emaciated with a yellow stained coat. Her first few weeks in rescue were tough on Gina as she had to be separated from her best friend Tommy, and then heartbreakingly lost her entire litter of puppies. Despite Gina's traumatic few weeks, nowadays she is the happiest girl in the world. Reunited with Tommy, they are both being fostered in the Atlanta suburbs where they spend their days playing with their dozens of toys, napping on their soft and comfy beds, and digging in the yard searching for moles. Gina loves her people and would happily spend all of her time with her humans, and she is so affectionate - this girl gives the best hugs!! Gina is well behaved and trained in basic commands. Gina's ideal home would be somewhere Tommy would be welcome, too (: Although Gina is good with other dogs (with a good intro of course) her ideal home would be one where her and Tommy could be the only dogs - giving their humans ample time to give them both the attention they deserve. Preferably people who like being outdoors, as they both adore spending time outside. No small children, as these two play hard and would knock over anything in their way! Due to Gina's health issues, she is currently going through slow-kill heartworm treatment. Any home interested in her would foster her until this time comes, with all medical expenses being covered by us. Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before deciding if they are a good fit for your home. They require a lot of attention and training with them never ends! Boundaries must be enforced and they often need reminders as they push past boundaires you set! Dogos are loving, kind and gentle but don't mistake that for weakness because they are equally powerful and intense as well! Everyone in the home must be on board with having a dogo and play a major role in their daily routines and training. Yes it is work, but the rewards are ten-fold! Lazy homes don't work for dogos as they need stimulation, exercise, and lots of attention too during their younger years. Our goal in rescue is to be as transparent as we can about each and every dog plus make sure new families really understand the needs of a dogo! DCDogos is committed to rescuing Dogos. Story
Kimber’s birthday is 10/1/21. She is the sweetest, laziest “lap dog” you’ll ever meet. I’ve had her her whole life, but she has had too many reactionary occurrences towards my other dogs. She follows the lead of the alpha, but she doesn’t relinquish. She’s tough. She’s NEVER shown any aggression towards people. She’s never been around kids, but I’d like her in an older kid (13+) or adult-only home. She wants to lay around, wag her happy tail, and give big, lazy kisses. She loves to cuddle everything: her pack, the cat, her humans. She gets extremely excited about walks, and gets VERY vocal when a leash comes out. She’s not fixed, as I had intended to breed her. She’s microchipped and up-to-date on all shots. She’s the healthiest dog I’ve ever had, and I’ve had pet insurance her whole life. I love this pup, and it kills me to have to rehome her, but for the safety of my other dogs and the longevity of my marriage, it’s the only option. Please love her well. She deserves it.

These pups are in Atlanta, Georgia too!

Story
Meet Marigold! Marigold and her sister, Hydy, came to RMG from a rural area shelter where they had been abandoned with the rest of their littermates. The other pups were adopted, but for some reason these adorable babies were passed over! Marigold is about 5 months old and 33 lbs (as of April 2023). We were told mom was a boxer but we have no information on dad or the size of either parent. What we do know is that this sweet girl has the most adorable underbite you have ever seen! She gets along great with dogs of all sizes and has gotten off to a great start on crate and house training.   Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: RMG requires an adult dog in the home for ALL puppy adoptions ##1697420##

Story
Meet Bandit, my 7-year-old purebred boxer. I have been with him since his birth, and he is the son of his late father who I also owned. Bandit has always had a companion, be it a fellow dog or a human at home. He is a lovable, laid-back dog that adores children and is extremely well-mannered. Bandit walks well on a leash, is housebroken, and is crate-trained. He loves having company, but things have been tough since I moved to an apartment, and he's been experiencing separation anxiety. Unfortunately, he's been howling, whining, and barking, causing my neighbors to complain. Bandit is truly a great dog who craves attention and companionship.

Story
Mako is a sweet boy. He is about 5 1/2 years old. He is energetic and always down for playtime. When its time to calm down, he absolutely loves to cuddle. Mako needs a new home that will let him run around and get his energy out and one that won't stress him out.
