Mint got his name because he is cool and chill, and like a breath of fresh air, which is a very accurate description of this fantastic dog!! Mint is probably around 2 years old, and will likely hit 100 pounds while he is with us. He is very tall, and very long, and can put his feet on your shoulders if he decide to. [] He is likely a Dogo Argentino, and is a really special boy! April 13, 2024, 6:42 pm

Story
Are you looking for a fur baby who loves to play but can also be calm and cuddly when the situation calls for it? Well, look no further than Betty! This sweet girl is one of our longest residents and came to the Forsyth County Pet Resource Center in October of 2022. She is more than ready to find her forever family. Betty is one of the most intelligent dogs at the shelter and LOVES learning new tricks. Her ideal day would include napping on a comfy dog bed, playing a tug or fetch with her person, and maybe some couch cuddles. Additionally, Betty is not destructive and is completely housetrained, coupled with her calm demeanor, and it makes her the perfect addition to any home!Additional Adoption Information:Dog Testing: She gets along with other dogs but would prefer to be the only pampered princess in a home. We would recommend a meet and greet for any potential canine siblings.Cat Testing: No cats.Kids: We have not seen Betty interact with children yet, we would recommend meeting any children that would be in the home. Housetraining Comments: Fully housetrained.Special Needs: None.

Story
Jackson is a handsome 6-year-old boy and weighs 80-ish lbs. Because he is a larger love bug who doesn't know his size, he would do best in a home with teenage children. Although Jackson is deaf, he is VERY trainable and has responded well to learning hand signals with his foster mom. He has laser focus whenever his toys or treats are involved. He is very snuggly-and likes to think he's a lap dog, despite his size! Jackson is potty trained, neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter, and are a foster-home based organization. Other than meeting our babies at events, we do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.

Story
Meet Queenie, a charming 8 year-2-month-old dog with a heart full of love and affection. Queenie is currently available for adoption and is seeking a special home where she can be the center of attention as the only dog. Queenie's story is one of unwavering loyalty and the deep bond she forms with her human companions. She may be 8 years old, but her heart is as young and vibrant as ever, and she has so much love left to give. This sweet and gentle dog is truly a treasure. Queenie is known for her loving and affectionate nature, always eager to shower her human with cuddles, kisses, and tail wags. She thrives on human companionship and forms strong, lasting bonds with those she trusts. In a one-dog household, Queenie's love and loyalty will shine, making her the ultimate furry friend. While Queenie's preference for being the only dog might require some adjustment, it's a small price to pay for the unconditional love and devotion she'll offer in return. She enjoys leisurely walks, playtime, and lounging with her human, creating a deep and meaningful connection that is truly special. With her mature age, Queenie is well past the energetic puppy stage, which means she's a calm and well-mannered companion. She's house-trained and has mastered the art of being the perfect companion. Queenie's ideal home is one where she can be the sole recipient of love and attention, a home where she can live out her golden years in comfort and happiness. She promises to be your loyal, loving, and affectionate companion, and she's ready to create cherished memories with you. If you're looking for a furry friend who will bring joy, love, and companionship into your life, Queenie is the perfect match. Contact our adoption center today to meet Queenie and discover the incredible bond and happiness she can bring to your life. Don't miss this chance to welcome Queenie into your home and heart, and experience the true meaning of unconditional love. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an application and schedule an appointment with the Humane Society of Forsyth County, Tuesday through Saturday for more information on me. With all my love and kisses, Queenie!
