Highly active animals / kids Physical Description Hitchcock is a medium haired tabby cat with warm golden brown undertones that match his heart of gold. He has a large nose and paws giving him a regal presence. Personality Hitchcock is a very affectionate and playful cat with a lot of love to give.  His favorite things are to be pet, brushed, watching squirrels and of course food.  Hitchcock would do well with a low key companion or by himself.  He's down to just chill but also always ready to be pet or play. Hitchcock was adopted from us several years ago and was recently found wandering on his own outside.     Estimated Birthday 09-04-2025 Okay to live in a home with... KidsDogsCats Physical Description Kris is a handsome black-and-white tuxedo boy with big, expressive eyes and a sweet white blaze down his nose. He has a soft white chest, little white paws, and silky fur that makes him look like he’s always dressed up. His petite build and gentle expression perfectly match his calm personality. To see more of Kris, visit him on instagram @fellowfosters Personality Kris is truly something special. He came into foster care very sick and was diagnosed with hydrocephalus (a buildup of fluid in the brain). After undergoing a specialized procedure called an Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy (ETV), and with lots of love and supportive care, this brave little guy made an incredible recovery — and now he’s thriving.Despite everything he’s been through, Kris is mellow, easygoing, and incredibly gentle. He gets along wonderfully with other cats and even dogs. He loves to snuggle, explore the house, and then settle in for a cozy nap. He has the loudest, happiest purr and the funniest little silent meows — he’ll open his mouth like he has something very important to say, but no sound comes out. It’s adorable every time.Kris enjoys following his person around the house, quietly keeping you company while you go about your day. He’s independent enough to entertain himself but affectionate enough to always want to be nearby. He truly just “chills” — whether he’s playing, lounging, or gently observing the world around him. He also has excellent litter box habits and keeps his space nice and tidy.Kris is a resilient little fighter with the softest heart. He’s looking for a loving home where he can continue to thrive and be someone’s loyal, gentle companion.   Kris does not currently require any medications or treatment for his condition and his care routine is similar to that of any other kitten.  This kitty has what sort of characteristics? Story
Estimated Birthday 05-01-2024 May not do well with.... KidsDogs Physical Description Beautiful long haired kitty with a calico cap and a few spots on her mostly white body with a bushy calico tail. Personality Lola is a sweet but shy girl who thrives on a predictable routine. While she possesses the social skills to live and play well with other cats, she is independent and prefers to be appreciated from a distance rather than seeking traditional human affection like lap time or treats.   Lola is quite acrobatic, showing off her skills while playing with other cats or hunting insects. She is an excellent house guest with great manners and is food-motivated, especially when it comes to climbing her cat tree. Because she prefers to move about only when she feels completely secure, she will need a quiet, calm environment and patient adopters who understand her shy nature.   While it is unlikely she will ever become a lap cat, Lola has gotten along with every foster kitten she has met. Given her skills and personality, she &#226&#128&#139could also make an excellent &#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139warehouse cat or mouser in a home that can provide a proper adjustment period so she knows where to find her food and shelter.   This kitty has what sort of characteristics? Story
Meet Our Sweet Ginger Girl 🧡 This beautiful orange-and-white longhaired kitty is as loyal as they come. She can be cautious with new people and may need a little time to warm up. If she feels unsure around someone she doesn’t know, she may show it — but with patience, consistency, and kindness, she learns to trust and becomes incredibly loving. Once you earn her trust, you’ll discover a deeply affectionate companion who loves to cuddle and be close to her person. She’s the kind of cat who will follow you from room to room, happily keeping you company while you go about your day. She also has a playful, frisky side, with bursts of energy that show off her fun and curious personality. This sweet girl forms strong bonds with her people and thrives in a calm home where she can feel safe and secure. Give her a little patience and she will reward you with loyalty, cuddles, and companionship for years to come. She would do best with someone who understands that trust takes time.

Story
* Apple is in a foster home and is not at the animal shelter. If you are interested in Apple, please email angela.kinn.ak@gmail.com * Meet Apple! Apple is about 10 years young and looking for a loving home. Apple was found in a rural area weighing only 3 pounds and near death from a painful infection in her mouth due to an embedded foxtail.  Thankfully the kind person who found her brought her straight to us so we could save her life so she can find the loving home she deserves!  Apple is a gentle, affectionate sweetheart with a very calming vibe. Apple loves to be petted and brushed and will purr and make biscuits. Apple is polydactyl, which means that she has extra toes on her paws making them look like mitts. She is an adorable, sweet girl who is craving a quiet, loving home where she can be spoiled and enjoy all the love and attention she could ever want. Apple loves being brushed and this is a great way to bond with her. There is so much to discover with this sweet lady. She would love to be your friend and cuddle buddy. Apple seems to do well with other cats, but would appreciate a calm household with cats who will respect her space if she needs it. We do not know how Apple would be around dogs, but if your dog is mellow she'd probably be fine.March 7, 2026, 9:32 am

Misty was abandoned with her sister. Her sister was not as affected and was adopted out Misty took a little longer to trust but she is an absolute love now I really loves to just have pets and cuddle up close to you. She would be a little shy at first so need someone patient while she gets acclimated to her new space. She is a kitty that can be alone but she is also fostered with Button who she gets along well with.

Story
Sophie is a loving and loyal medium-to-long haired lynx-point mixed breed with an undercoat, much like an apple-head Himalayan. She is a 15lb cat with striking blue eyes, silvery fur with tabby markings on her extremities, and a creamy ruff and underbelly. Her facial markings are almost identical to those of a Canadian Lynx. Sophie likes to go into the backyard each day and would prefer to be a houshold's only cat. She has a generally calm personality, fears strangers, and greets people she knows. She loves to sleep at the foot of the bed. Her medium-to-long fur requires some brushing to make sure she doesn't injest too much of it. Sophie appreciates the occasional hygiene assist when a vet trims the back of her legs under her tail. Sophie will be 7 years old in May 2026 and was originally rescued as a 3mo old kitten from Yuba City.

Story
Well what a high drama girl this little Carrot Cake is! I always love the striking colors of calico kitties who are almost always females. I joke that these vivid little fireballs are Little Empresses who that think they own the whole world and act accordingly. Ms Carrot Cake is definitely the exception to this rule. She is not a demanding personality; instead, she is an easy going and nicely behaved little treasure. Having grown up around her charming brothers and other kitty playmates she loves other cats. She also loves humans and all the attention they bring. Her two brothers were a matched set of orange boys and they went home together after we spent quite a while looking for a family that could take all three siblings.A home for three is very hard to find.Sadly we had to separate them but she adjusted much better than we expected. So let's find a new family for Carrot Cake with at least one other fun loving kitty. She is a confident , playful and curious girl and would probably be fine with a cat loving dog but we have no direct experience of that with her. She is so outgoing that she will likely entertain strangers who come over to dinner. Who could fail to be smitten with a soft, fuzzy kitty who has one black front leg and one red tabby front leg, both with sparkling white feet? And over the black leg she has a red cheek and over the red leg she has a black cheek. All with a pink nose set above a white chin. And she often has a grumpy cat face which just makes you smile because that is not her at all. She is a one of a kind kitty who is so much fun. Carrot Cake would be good as a family cat and probably would be just fine with respectful children of all ages. She is an easy cat in many ways. She is healthy, loves attention, loves other kitties, uses her box , will eat anything. She enjoys brushing and grooming as the loving attention it really is and has an easy coat to manage even though her hair is medium long. Look how silky it is! She is part Maine Coon and that gives her not only her plush fur but also her willingness to be in a family setting including the noise and commotion that often comes with that. She could also be an entertaining, heart companion for a couple or a single person who are home and have another cat . She eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect. If your home comes complete with catnip she would be delighted. Some family will be so lucky to have her entertaining, loving, soft, cuddly company. Carrot Cake is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped. She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Carrot Cake please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. Story
Crunch Berry and Corn Pops MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions Adoption Fee: $425 for the pair Here are the first two of the four "Breakfast Kitties". ( No I did not name them.) Crunch Berries is the sister who is bonded with her brother,Corn Pops. Soon I will post Fruit Loops ( Loopy ) the sister who is bonded to her other brother ,Lucky Charms ( Lucky). The girls show their Maine Coon heritage in their lush long coats, intelligent faces, head shape and super long whiskers. Crunch Berry is the most colorful of the litter, she is red , black and white which sets off her soft green eyes. and brick red nose. She likes to roll around showing off her lush, soft tummy. Her legs have striking bandings and big soft paws. She is an outgoing, goofy girl who loves attention. As a calico she thinks the whole world is hers. Corn Pops is both different and similar. He has the head shape, and body size and intelligence of his Maine Coon heritage, the green eyes and brick nose, the banding, the eye liner. He is strikingly beautiful but with shorter fur. Where Crunch Berry is a flirt and social director, Corn Pops is a poet and deep thinker. He is more complex. With strangers he will probably be initially shy but he has such deep feelings that he gives all of his heart when he knows you. You can feel so clearly how he wants your love and company. Sometimes he says "I want to cuddle. Just hold me and let me hide my head under your arm" He will easily let you do what you wish with him -clip his nails, pose him and hold him this way and that.He just wants to be with you. Crunch has always easily attracted tons of attention. Corn Pops is a passionate companion when he knows you. Crunch and her sister Fruit Loops have always been the leaders, easily curious and outgoing. Both boys in this litter have been slower to grow up and gain confidence and grow into their looks. No longer are they bland little babies, they have suddenly come into their own and are just s striking as their fluffy sisters. Now they are all ready to go home. These kitties are both friendly with cats and would probably be fine with respectful, gentle dogs and children. Some family will be so lucky to have their playful loving companionship. Crunch and Corn Pops eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect. Their foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz. Crunch Berry is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz, California. Crunch Berry is: Neutered/Spayed, Vaccinated, FELV Tested, Dewormed, Microchipped, Wet Food, Dry Food, Litter Box Perfect Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish them and create an ideal forever home.
