When I do, I get chatty and like to stay close to my person, especially in a calm, predictable home. I am big on cheek scratches. That is the good stuff. And if I really trust you, I might even flop over and show you my belly. Just know that is a privilege, not a guarantee. I would do best as your one and only cat in a quieter home without young children. I am also looking for someone cat savvy who understands boundaries, body language, and the value of letting a cat set the pace. If you have a peaceful home and respect a cat who does things on his own terms, I think we will get along just fine.

At first, I might hang back and quietly figure you out, but once I feel safe, I really lean into affection and enjoy being close to my people. I’m the kind of cat who forms strong bonds slowly and sincerely. I don’t rush into things, but when I decide you’re my person, I show it in soft, steady ways—sticking nearby, asking for attention, and relaxing more and more in your presence. I’m FIV+, which just means I need a bit of extra understanding about my health, but it doesn’t stop me from being a loving companion with a lot of good years ahead of me. If you’re patient with me at the start, I’ll meet you halfway—and once I do, I’m very good company to have around.

Elvis has been through more than most. When the home he knew burned down, he disappeared for an entire month, given up for lost. But this resilient boy found his way back, and now he's looking for a place where he can finally feel safe again. At four years old, Elvis is mellow and easy going, he just needs time to show it. In the mornings he'll often emerge for a few quiet pets before retreating to the comfort of his cat tree cubby, his safe spot. Every now and then he'll chase a wand toy and on a really good day he might settle into your lap for a while. -A secret trick to get him to snuggle with you is to show him a churu treat. Elvis is a huge fan of them and will come lay in your lap if you show him one. He gets there on his own terms, and it's worth the wait. Elvis is paired with Dottie, who also mellow and doesn’t ask for much. Sometime you’ll catch him following her around and if Dottie meows for him, Elvis comes running. Both are shy around new people and environments, and will need a calm, quiet home where they can decompress at their own pace. A household without young children would suit them best. Luke was found abandoned at a drive-in theater parking lot.  Our rescue group took him in and got him fixed and vaccinated and chipped.  He is very affectionate.  He likes to follow you around sometimes for pets.  He sometimes gets overstimulated and gives you a light nip but nothing serious.  He just lets you know when he's done.  He would be ok as an indoor/outdoor pet if it is a safe area with no busy traffic and no coyote activity.  He's really sweet.  March 24, 2026, 12:20 am
