Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Duchess came to us with six tiny baby kittens. Unfortunately, her milk never came in so we had to separate her from her babies so that we could bottle feed them. Duchess has a moderate case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) which is a neurological condition in which the cerebellum of the brain is smaller than usual or not completely developed. The underdevelopment causes ataxia--incoordination, wobbliness, or unsteadiness. She does not have a bobble head like some cats with this condition, but she does have difficulty jumping onto furniture and wobbles when she walks. She is just the sweetest kitten and loves attention and affection! She wants to be with you all of the time and purrs when you even just look at her. She has lovely long fur and is super fluffy! She will make a great kitty companion to you and your resident pets. She cannot be adopted to a home with stairs as she may not be safe going up and down.If you're interested in meeting this delightful girl, please complete an online adoption application or reach out to us via email at info@ibokrescue.org. All of our kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccinations, dewormed, deflead and microchipped prior to being delivered to their loving forever home. All of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs as it is our policy not to place kittens under six months of age in a forever home without another same aged kitten. We also do not place kittens older than six months into homes where there is currently not another young cat in residence. Most of our kittens are in 'bonded pairs' or bonded with their littermates. We reserve the right not to separate bonded pairs or place kittens individually. The happiness and quality of life for our kittens is our top priority. =^..^=Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 1:34 pm

Story
Come on in to the Owl House and give a warm hello to the adorable Hooty and Owlberta! We found these two adorable sisters as kittens abandoned and struggling, so we took them in and just look at them now! They are the closest of sisters, yet in some ways couldn’t be more opposite and complimentary too! Owlberta is short hair and very much a cat’s cat. She loves hanging out with other cats (not just her sister) and she loves playing, hunting, or chasing after her friends. Occasionally, she’ll be willing to grace a human with her presence, but she would much prefer the company of other cats instead and, if anything, you’ll be lucky to catch a glimpse of her as she’s playing. Her long-haired sister Hooty is in some ways the polar opposite, at least when it comes to humans: she will immediately run up for love, push against you for pets, or if you’re leaning back in a chair, she will gladly put her paws on your chest and demand your full love and attention! Yet she loves to play with other cats too, especially but not exclusively with her sister. While you won’t always find them hanging out with each other, they will absolutely play or wander together, and if you separate them, they will both let you know how unhappy they are, so we consider Hooty and Owlberta a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. They might be yin and yang in personality, but these two quirky sisters deserve to find a loving furever home, so will it be yours? They are spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and ready to go today! Hooty and Owlberta are about 1 year old.

Story
Do you have room in your heart and home for a sweet, senior, independent kitty? Meet Cali, who came to Cat Crew after her owners moved out of state and her new home fell through. This sweet old gal is looking for a simple life. She just wants to live out the rest of her days lounging with her humans, getting pets/head scratches, and enjoying some catnip. It was discovered right before her previous owners moved that she has hyperthyroidism, which requires medication applied to her ears twice a day and a blood test twice a year. Cali is 12 years old and would prefer to be the only pet in her new home. Cali will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Cali is about 12 years old.

*My adoption fee is sponsored!*Age: ~10+ / Weight: 9 lbsMeet ROSIE!Rosie's here for a good time, not a long time. She's lived fast and wild for 10+ years, but honestly no one really knows how old she is. And due to some medical mysteries, we don't believe Rosie has alot of time left. She needs an angel. Preferrably one that walks the earth and doesn't have other pets.Pawspice (or Hospice) adoption is a thing. It's not for everyone -- but for some, filling the last chapter of an animal's life with care, comfort, and love is one of most gratifying experiences they'll ever have. We can totally fill you in on the ins and outs of Rosie (including all of her health details) over the phone, but in summary, she has a good quality of life that is maintained through a special diet and a supplement or two. The rest of her happiness is managed by the presence of a human she trusts. Once you've received it, she's a magnet cat. A little grey and white shadow who always reminds you when it's time to eat. An interactive lap warmer who'll spoon you in bed at night. She has no teeth and only occasionally brushes her hair. And if you sass her, she'll sass you right back. She's everyone's grandma! Are you in need of a cat who TRULY needs you? Have you ever wanted to be a savior to an animal? Does the idea of providing a cat with love, comfort, and care for the last months of their life make your heart swell? If so, we need you. Rosie needs you.Give us a call or fill out an online Adopter's Profile.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Princess with a Big Heart & TailAfter 7 years, Mercedes's was returned to us due to no fault of her own. She is a fun loving princess looking for her forever home. Mercedes was shy upon her return and it took a while for her to take over the house. Now she owns the place and will tell you so. She is quite vocal when she wants to play and at meal times. She loves chasing after feather and other wand toys. She requires you to participate. She naps on her own and plays with her humans. Mercedes wants to be a lap cat but that a recent development. Previously she preferred to sit next to her human while they read or watched television. She enjoys brushing. It's needed to care for all that fluff. That fur makes her look larger than she is. After 7 years as a single cat, Mercedes is not prepared to share her human with another cat. She truly wants to be the princess in the castle. When Mercedes returned to us she received a complete medical check up and updated vaccines. Unfortunately the vet found two problems. Mercedes has a grade 2-3 heart murmur and mild to moderate hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She receives twice daily oral medication that she takes without complaining. Fortunately Mercedes is completely asymptomatic and enjoys and active life. Her heart problems do not stop her from running around just like a healthy cat. Come meet Mercedes and her tail. It has a life of its own. Here is her kitten bio: Mercedes was named after the car under which she was found. She was a scrappy little girl at 1.5 lbs, ready to take on all comers. With some TLC and regular meals, Mercedes no longer hides under the bed and prefers being with people. She knows being an extrovert is a lot more fun. While she plays well alone, attacking her toys and packing paper, she prefers interacting with her human friends getting them to move the wand toys and using their legs as launch pads. After playtime, a lap is a good place to crash. Mercedes is vocal only at meal time. She has the cutest “mew.” She also likes a solid routine: food, play, nap, cuddlesVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. To Adopt one of our Cats or Kittens, please fill out an Online Adoption Application on our website  https://www.13thstcats.org/info/adoption If the animal bio says that they are a "Courtesy Listing", the contact information will be included in the animal bio for you to reach out to them directly. Thank you for wanting to Adopt! -------------- 13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose. We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat April 27, 2024, 5:11 pm
