Story
Minerva, who prefers the less formal "Minnie, is a sweet and sensitive 4-year-old longhaired tortoiseshell looking for a very patient adopter with experience helping shy cats gain confidence. Minnie lost the only home she knew when her elderly guardian was moved to a residence that did not allow pets. She is doing her best to overcome this traumatic experience, but she is very slow to adjust to new new places and new people. It took 18 months in foster care before she was brave enough to sit on her foster mom's lap, but now lap time is part of her daily routine, and she enjoys her evening bonding time, purring with contentment. Once you have earned Minnie's trust, she's a gentle companion with excellent litter box manners, a healthy appetite and good grooming skills. A successful match for Minnie would include a quiet indoor-only household with no children. She would be happy as a single pet, or might do fine with a gentle cat or dog that did not expect her to play or interact. She feels most comfortable in small spaces and though she does enjoy a cat tree and a window view, she spends quite a bit of time in her cozy box hideaway. Minnie does not like to be picked up, and will likely always have to be mildly sedated before going to vet appointments. She takes a daily anti-anxiety medication, and she is on prescription wet food for urinary health. Shy cats need and deserve love too, and Minnie is looking for a special person that will give her the time and compassion she needs to adjust to a new forever home.

Story
Meet Hermione! This charming kitten came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services with his two other littermates (Neville & Harry). They are sweet as pie, have met small dogs and other cats, older kids, men and women and done great! She can be a little shy at first so we are seeking a patient family. She would love a home with one of her siblings or with another friendly cat to play with! Since she is still a kitten, we are looking for a home where someone is around throughout the day to help with socialization and training. She will also need a home with gentle kiddos age 6 and over who can be patient with a new kitty in the home. Hermione is currently in foster care. A meet and greet can be schedule once an application has been received, and approved. Please complete an onlline application located at animalfriendsrescue.org.

Story
Hello world, it's Rusty and Mochi! We are a bonded pair; Rusty is a 5 year and 11 month old, large sized, domestic longhaired, neutered male cat, and Mochi is a 2 year and 1 month old, spayed female, medium sized Bengal kitty. We are looking for a cat savvy furrever home that is ready to shower us with love and affection. With Mochi being a Bengal kitty, she has lots of energy and will be ready to play all day! She can be a bit shy at first, but enjoys gentle pets while she grooms. She also has a great purr! Rusty is a talker too, and can get a bit overstimulated, so he'd prefer to be in an experienced adult-only household, as little kids can be overwhelming for him. Rusty has a long and luxurious coat that will need routine brushing to keep it nice and tangle free. If we sound like the purrfect kitties for you, come visit us at the PHS Adoption Center and ask for Rusty ID# A927594 and Mochi ID# A942239!   Drop-In hours for Potential Adopters 11 am – 5 pm 7 days a week  Adoptions will be done on a first come, first served basis. Please note that adoptions process can take a minimum of 1 hour.   Application:  https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/AdoptionProfiles_cat_2022_fillin.pdf Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mom cat (Nellie) was rescued in a mobile home park in Moss Beach. Shortly after, she gave birth to 5 kittens. Unfortunately, one of the kittens did not survive. One of the kittens has been adopted by one of the veterinary clinics and the other 3 kittens have come to CIW. The two little girls (Jo Jo and Bailey) and one little boy (Marley) are sweet, healthy kittens. They have been spayed/neutered, started their vaccinations, Mom tested negative for feline leukemia and feline aids and are microchipped. They love to play and be cuddled. They would be great indoor companions. Are you ready for a new housemate or two? Please note: Indoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1709632892&src=aap]
