Mercedes is initially shy and it takes a few days for her to take over the house. Then she will own the place and will tell you so. She is quite vocal when she wants to play and at meal times. She loves chasing after feather and other wand toys. She requires you to participate. She naps on her own and plays with her humans. Mercedes wants to be a lap cat but she needs to know you first. Initially she prefers to sit next to her human while they read or watched television. She enjoys brushing. It's needed to care for all that fluff. That fur makes her look larger than she is. After years as a single cat, Mercedes is not prepared to share her human with another cat. She truly wants to be the princess in the castle. When Mercedes returned to us she received a complete medical check up and updated vaccines. Unfortunately the vet found two problems. Mercedes has a grade 2-3 heart murmur and mild to moderate hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She receives twice daily oral medication that she takes without complaining. Fortunately Mercedes is completely asymptomatic and enjoys and active life. Her heart problems do not stop her from running around just like a healthy cat. Come meet Mercedes and her tail. It has a life of its own. Here is her kitten bio: Mercedes was named after the car under which she was found. She was a scrappy little girl at 1.5 lbs, ready to take on all comers. With some TLC and regular meals, Mercedes no longer hides under the bed and prefers being with people. She knows being an extrovert is a lot more fun. While she plays well alone, attacking her toys and packing paper, she prefers interacting with her human friends getting them to move the wand toys and using their legs as launch pads. After playtime, a lap is a good place to crash. Mercedes is vocal only at meal time. Online Adoption Application › Alfie was surrender to 3th St Cat Rescue after he was found wandering the streets of downtown San Jose. He did not do well as an indoor only cat. He prefers access to a yard and coming indoor at night and during bad weather. Once Alfie was given a yard, he blossomed into a friendly cat that greets anyone walking by. The postal carriers love Alfie. He is good with adults and children. A gentle soul, Alfie is bullied by most cats except for young kittens. It is best that he has his own space. We are looking for a safe yard and home for this crazy orange guy. Luke was found abandoned at a drive-in theater parking lot.  Our rescue group took him in and got him fixed and vaccinated and chipped.  He is very affectionate.  He likes to follow you around sometimes for pets.  He sometimes gets overstimulated and gives you a light nip but nothing serious.  He just lets you know when he's done.  He would be ok as an indoor/outdoor pet if it is a safe area with no busy traffic and no coyote activity.  He's really sweet.  October 23, 2024, 12:08 am

Recently my grandma passed away unexpectedly and she has 2 beautiful cats I am trying to rehouse. Unfortunately where I live I can’t have animals. This is Lily, she is a sweet cat but particular in who she lets love her. She is more of a one to two person quiet home. I think she’ll be 2 years old this coming July. She loves treats and is definitely a lap cat. She loved my grandma and I have a ton more pictures to share if you want. I’m hoping she goes to a loving home.

The cat was adopted from Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority in Jan 2023, she was 3 months old at the time (she is 3 ears old now) She is calm and well behaved, doesn't scratch or bite people. She is playful and loves kids
