Story

Pippi's history is a mystery - found as a stray, abandoned in a public garden, we don't know where she came from or what her previous life was like. But we do know that Pippi is one of the sweetest, happiest cats that we have ever met. She is friendly with everyone she meets, is happy to have a warm bed and food, loves playing with toys, and is glad to receive any attention. Pippi is approximately 9 months old, and is sweet and playful. She is gentle with everyone she meets, including children. She is calm and curious with cats of all ages and play styles, although she won't let herself be roughhoused, and she is excellent with dogs of all types. She likes playing with a variety of different toys, but also enjoys wandering around and observing what's going on around her, and bird watching out the window. She is a water girl, and loves splashing in her water bowl and putting toys in the water that she can then watch bob around. She has a hammock that she can climb into, and she enjoys rolling around in it, and sleeping in many odd positions. Although Pippi is playful and active, she is not a hyper cat and she also enjoys being pet and cuddled, and will make a great couch buddy. Pippi is very healthy. She is FeLV/FIV negative. Her adoption includes her full series of FVRCP (distemper) and Rabies vaccines; fecal testing and complete deworming; spay; microchip; and 30 days of free pet insurance. She is a beautiful girl with long fluffy hair and a beautiful tail, and will need ongoing combing/brushing to help her maintain it. She enjoys being combed and is always gentle. Pippi will thrive with a family who has time to give her the attention and love that she deserves, with another animal (cat or dog) as a companion. This senior lady looks angry and sometimes is, but she also can be affectionate on her terms. Lily is declawed, so even when she swats at you it doesn`t hurt. She was returned to us after many years in a loving home and we feel she will do best in a home that understands she is independent but also likes to be nearby her people. We would love to see her spend her remaining years in a loving, understanding home.

Story

Coconut is a big handsome boy, and he knows it. Coconut came to Cameron Animal Rescue after his owner passed away, and he has found the change extremely stressful. He is ready for a new home of his own where he can decompress, and be treated like the prince he is. Coconut is approximately 11 years old. He is healthy, FeLV/FIV negative, neutered, fecal tested and preventatively dewormed, and has received the full series of FVRCP (distemper) and rabies vaccines. Coconut is a smart, active boy. He likes to run, play, and climb. Coconut previously lived with another cat, and it was reported that they got along well. However at the rescue he has found the presences of other cats and dogs to be major stressors, therefore we recommend that Coconut be an only pet. Coconut can sometimes get overstimulated and become reactive; that is likely due to the presence of other animals, and it has mellowed significantly over the time he has been with us. However, he needs an experienced owner who knows how to read his behavioural cues and can help him decompress when he goes home. In his previous home Coconut was reported to be a laid-back guy, who liked to play and get attention from his people. We are hopeful that the same will be true once he goes home again. Due to his occasional reactivity, Coconut should not go to a home with young children. Despite his stress at the hospital, Coconut is friendly and affectionate with people. Fred is an older adult cat looking for a loving home to share the rest of his life with. He was born November 2015 but remains a very active, healthy, and playful cat. He plays rough, has a big appetite, and can get overstimulated so an experienced cat owner is preferred, but a dedicated owner is what I'm looking for. He likes to sit or lie on people, and prefers to follow his owner from room to room. He has no known health issues at the moment. He seems interested in other cats, but only a very friendly cat could live with him.
