Story
Pallas was rescued from an abandoned farm, but you'd never know it - she's sweet, affectionate, playful, and beautiful. She's quite outgoing even with strangers and gets along with other cats. She loves to play, or watch birds out the window, and insists on her share of pets and attention. Pallas has long hair and beautiful coloring. She had four babies at her foster home and has been a super attentive mom who always talks and chirps to her kittens. She's one of those mamas who would fight a bear for her babies. We don't know her age, but she is as playful as a kitten, so her fosters think she is under 2 years old. She would love to be adopted with one of her kittens (Angelica, Master Max, Frannie, and Little Grey Goose) and stay young with them - or with her best friend MK Fisher! Find more on the foster's website, https://annasfosters.org/. Arrange a virtual meeting or meet Pallas in her foster home. Pallas is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Story
Looking for eco-friendly, non-toxic pest control? If you have a shelter, you can save a cat and control your rodent population at the same time by adopting a Working Cat! Sometimes, cats cannot live as household companions, yet make excellent barn cats and thrive in that environment. These cats may be shy or fearful of people and prefer the company of other cats and animals. Generally speaking, cats placed through the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin Working Cat Program are independent cats who prefer to limit their interactions with humans. However, the degree to which they keep their distance varies from cat to cat and may change over time. Working cats often develop strong bonds with other cats, which is why the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin recommends that two or more cats be placed together. If you are interested in adopting Working Cats, please call the shelter at 608-752-5622 to speak with an adoption counselor or fill out a Working Cat application by joining our Facebook group HSSW Working Cats!
