Meet Rex!Although Rex can be nervous meeting new people, when he`s comfortable, he`s a big ole couch potato who loves gentle pets. Rex is a very independent cat who would love to just share space with you. He`d make a great roommate! He`d prefer a home with calm children and may prefer to be an only pet (Gets more attention that way) . Although he may learn to share space with a calm, indifferent dog over time. Buttercup is ready for his forever home! He is super sweet and loves to be around his people. He is a purr machine and a biscuit master. He can also be playful especially with strong toys and cardboard boxes! He loves water fountains and also meowing at his family when demanding attention! He doesn’t do well with other animals but he does well with respectful kids.

Meet Obi, a gentle and shy girl who needs a little time to feel comfortable in new surroundings. While she may initially be reserved, with patience and understanding, Obi blossoms into a warm and affectionate companion. Once she feels secure, her sweet personality shines through, and she will happily spend her days relaxing by your side. Napping is one of her favorite pastimes, and she finds joy in cozy spots where she can peacefully snooze.She would thrive best as the only pet in a calm environment with older, mature children who respect her space and allow her to open up at her own pace. Speck is a beautiful, volunteer-favorite, a 13-year-old, long-haired, tabby girl with bright green eyes. Originally surrendered to HART in the Fall of 2021, Speck was adopted shortly thereafter but was then returned to us, at no fault of her own, because her household was not a good fit for her. She enjoys spending time with people, and while she has a somewhat reserved, subtle personality, she likes gentle attention and receiving scratches and pets. She is looking for a calm, quiet home without young children or dogs - but would do ok with cats that respect her space. She will be happy as your low-key feline buddy. Speck has significant environmental and flea allergies which are well-managed by feeding her a special, non-prescription, limited-ingredient diet (duck is the primary ingredient), giving her daily medication and supplements, and ensuring she is not exposed to fleas (we recommend using flea preventative year-round). Speck also is hyper-thyroid. She takes medication twice per day for this, in a little pill wrap or pill pocket. Our Adoption Team will review her specific health needs with you before adoption. We will require that her adopters have a well-established relationship with a trusted veterinarian and that they be experienced cat guardians.We would love for Speck to find a home of her very own for her golden years. Meet Bigsby, also known as Ms. Bigg, a pretty grey and cream tabby who is about eight or nine years old.    Bigsby is a dog in a cat's body, according to her foster's friends. She earned this reputation by coming out of the woodwork and demanding attention from them whenever they visit. Without fail, as soon as a visitor sits in her favorite chair, she assumes this is an invitation to get attention and sprawls on their chest and shoulder and purrs. When her foster worked from home, she was the Official Office Cat and was often the unintentional star of a few Zoom/Teams meetings; her foster has since RTO'd, which makes Bigsby sad. She is very affectionate and wants to be with her people.   Currently, she's living in a house with a few other cats and a couple of big dogs (coonhounds); she doesn't create issues with any of them, though she's not exactly snuggly with them, either. She would likely do just fine as a solo cat or in a household with other pets. Beyond human attention and the standard food, water and a clean litter box, she needs just one thing every day: allergy medication.
