Story
Deana - Female DOB 8/24/2023 Domestic Medium Hair Gray - Meet Deana and Loretta! Deana and Loretta found themselves in a North Carolina shelter, just little bitty kittens and they were shy, so adopters were passing them by.  Luckily, we had a wonderful foster available and the girls were pulled from the shelter.  They took a little time to settle in and would first run when foster mom came into the cat room.  She soon learned that if she didn't approach them, they were so curious, that after a few minutes they would go to her.  They knew she was the nice lady with the yummy food and the fun wand toys!  The girls have now settled into our quiet room and because of their foster, they have blossomed into sweet, friendly girls!  Loretta is still a bit on the timid side but it doesn't take long for her to warm up to you....especially with treats and toys in the mix. Deana is on the fluffy side and Loretta is a sleek house panther, they make such an adorable pair.  The girls are looking for a home on the quieter side, and a patient family that will let them have a bit of time to settle in.  We know they are going to blossom further and own their new home in no time!  No dogs or small children would be best, but the girls are doing fine with other kitties in our quiet room.  If you are looking for a sweet pair of kittens, please apply via our easy online application at https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/All kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian.  Our application is available to be completed online at  https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/  Applying DOES NOT guarantee approval.  We hold meet and greets with approved applications only.  (Kittens are available for adoption in pairs only unless they are going home to another kitten or young cat under 3) Our policy is strictly NO DECLAWING and INDOOR ONLY. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Serafina is a gorgeous, 10-year-old, brown tabby and white kitty who was returned to HART this past Fall when her former family had to relocate and unfortunately could not take her with them. Her beautiful fur is amazingly soft and fluffy, and she definitely needs very regular brushing to stay looking and feeling her best. Serafina is sweet, friendly, and confident, and she loves receiving attention from people. She is what we affectionately call a "spicy" cat, and she will need a calm home without young chlidren, and with experienced, cat savvy adults who will help her acclimate to her new household. She is not a fan of most other cats, and, as you might imagine, living with a bunch of feline roommates is not her idea of a good time. Our Medical Team has placed her on a medication to help her cope with shelter life. We will require that her adopter has an established relationship with a veterinarian. Story
Maxine is a gorgeous and petite, 8.5-year-old, medium-haired, brown tabby who arrived at HART in the summer of 2023. Her beautiful coat has such unique markings, with splashes of gold interspersed between the stripes in her coat. Yeah, Maxine has a reputation for being something of a diva, and she isn't afraid to express a bit of her 'tude with you. Although she often prefers to stay in the safe space of her favorite comfy bed, she also enjoys playtime with her favorite toy, the catnip mouse. Maxine adores attention from visitors and will rub against you and roll over when you pet her--however, she might then reach out and whack you! Because of her tendency to act out and be unpredictable, Maxine will require a calm home without other animals or children, and with cat-savvy adults who have experience living with and caring for cats with strong personalities. Our Adoption Team will review her specific needs with you prior to adoption. We know this special girl will do great in a home where she feels truly comfortable, and with people who appreciate her sassy kitty self! Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Speck is a beautiful, volunteer-favorite, 13-year-old, long-haired, tabby girl with bright green eyes. Originally surrendered to HART in the Fall of 2021, Speck was adopted shortly thereafter but was then returned to us, at no fault of her own, because her household was not a good fit for her. She enjoys spending time with people, and while she has a somewhat reserved, subtle personality, she likes gentle attention and receiving scratches and pets. She is looking for a calm, quiet home without young children or dogs - but would do ok with cats that respect her space, and will be happy as your low-key feline buddy. Speck has significant environmental and flea allergies which are well-managed by feeding her a special, non-prescription, limited-ingredient diet (duck is the primary ingredient), giving her daily medication and supplements, and ensuring she is not exposed to fleas (we recommend using flea preventative year round). Speck also is hyper-thyroid. She takes medication twice per day for this, in a little pill wrap or pill pocket. Our Adoption Team will review her specific health needs with you before adoption. We will require that her adopters have a well-established relationship with a trusted veterinarian and that they be experienced cat guardians. We would love for Speck to find a home of her very own for her golden years. Please submit an adoption application and come in to meet this special kitty in Room 1.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As
