Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Speck is a beautiful, 13-year-old, long-haired, tabby girl with bright green eyes. Originally surrendered to HART in the Fall of 2021, Speck was adopted shortly thereafter but was then returned to us because her household was not a good fit for her. She enjoys spending time with people, and while she has a somewhat reserved, subtle personality, she likes gentle attention and receiving scratches and pets. She is looking for a calm, quiet home without young children or other cats or dogs, and will be happy as your low-key feline buddy. Speck has significant environmental and flea allergies which are well-managed by feeding her a special, non-prescription, limited ingredient diet (duck is the primary ingredient), giving her daily medication and supplements, and ensuring she is not exposed to fleas (we recommend using flea preventative year round). Speck also is hyper-thyroid. She takes a medication twice per day for this. She takes her medication in a little pill wrap or pill pocket. Our Adoption Team will review her specific health needs with you prior to adoption. We will require that her adopters have a well-established relationship with a trusted veterinarian, and that they be experienced cat guardians. We would love for Speck to find a home of her very own for her golden years. Please submit an adoption application and come in to meet this special kitty in Room 1.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As

Story
Serafina is a super gorgeous, long-haired girl. Her hair is truly amazing and will definitely need very regular brushing! She is sweet and friendly. She is bonded with her adoptive son, Silver. Serafina is fairly confident, but knows which kitty to keep a friendly distance from! She's a big girl that loves attention and will give you lots of love, along with her adoptive son! Our medical team has her on medications to help her with shelter life. We feel she will do best in an experience home. We will require that her adopter has an established veterinarian relationshipGo to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Maxine is a gorgeous, fluffy, petite, long haired brown and gold tabby with atypical markings, splashes of gold interrupting her stripes. Perhaps a little Maine Coon? She can be a little bit of a diva toward the other cats in her room and prefers to stay in her safe space which is a comfy covered bed...but when out and about her room, you can find her playing - her favorite plaything is a catnip mouse! She adores attention from visitors and will rub against you and roll over when you pet her. However....she might then reach out and whack you! She can act out and be a little unpredictable and should be in an adult household that has experience with cats.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As
