Story
My name is Walter and I am a truly handsome and confident cat that is 2 years old and looking for a Kingdom to rule as the only animal.  I love people and I love kids but I really don't like to have to power around with other animals at the house.  I can be nice sometimes but sometimes I'll just take a swat and let them know to stay out of my way.  I love to sleep in the bed and cuddle with my humans.  I love to sit on the sofa and pick a good movie to watch.  I love most of all, to have a peaceful environment to live in and to sit in the window and watch the birds, or the cars and people go by most of all.  How about emailing at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and ask Critter Cavalry Rescue all about taking me home.  I want you to consider giving a calm, handsome adult male cat a good home.  I'll make you happy and you'll never regret it. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 4, 2024, 11:49 am

Story
ell hello, my name is Mrs. Biggs and I am an 8-year-old elegant lady.  I have a little white mane around my neck that makes it look like I have a fur scarf on.  I have the most stunning golden eyes and very alluring mix of grey, white and beige fur.  I was rescued from a hoarding situation with 21 dogs and 5 other cats so I can get a little irritable with other animals but I love humans.  I love to cuddle up to my foster mom, lay on her chest and make biscuits on her.  I also love all her friends and guests.  I will rub my head against your chin and show you all the love.  I'm always saying 'hi' to the neighbors and they love me!  I'm missing some teeth on my right side due to negligence in the past.  It will be ideal to have dental treats and chicken-flavored enzymatic toothpaste brushes once in a while to keep my left teeth healthy.  That way, I can eat dry food for a long, long time!  Don't be fooled by my age because I'm still energetic.  I love laser pointers and I will run, vroom, fast as a car to chase the laser pointer.  I also love catnip and I will roll around in it for longer than my fellow kitties do.  Due to my past of having to compete for food, I can be very greedy.  I will explore your trash can, lurk on your dining table, eat your food and I will get into other cats' foods and declare them all mine.  When I see food, I run knocking off everything in my path!  I've been hungry before, I don't want it to happen again :'(  Please don't hold my past against me, the longer I feel safer about my food security, the better I will get.  Due to my past environment, I had rhinosinusitis when I came to my current foster home but I'm getting better everyday.  I'm a very affectionate and loving cat and I will be your sweet companion. I am totally vetted and ready for my forever home.  If you think I will be the purrfect addition to your family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Kitty Keanu is in Tennessee and can be transported to the northeast upon adoption.)  March 4, 2024, 11:49 am

Story
When you think of the many beautiful cats that God has created with his palette of many colors, you must think of our gorgeous Torti girl named Lavergne and maybe even her sister Shirley who looks much like her.   Lavergne plays so well with other cats and is OK with dogs.  Truth be known, the current dogs in her foster home are enormous and overpowering for her small little self.  If you are looking for some nostalgia … please consider adopting both sisters....Lavergne and Shirley who we know will make you smile! Double Torit beauties in your home might be the inner beauty that you need every day to wake up to. If you are interested in one or both of these older Torti kittens, please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue :  ccrtennessee@gmail.comMarch 4, 2024, 11:49 am

Story
Hi my name is Crystal .  I am a very sweet little kitty.  My siblings and I were born outside and we had horrible living conditions.  We had a very rough start to our short little lives and we faced an uncertain future.  We were starving and living in pile of trash steel by the train tracks. Then  along comes Miss Dawn with this wire thing with yummy food in it.  One by one we were rescued.  She would not stop until she had all of us.  We are living the good life now getting full bellies while we wait on our forever home. We are all gray and have beautiful soft fur.  We are tiny but mighty.  Two of us are boys, Einstein and Earl, and 3 are girls Crystal, Graycie, and Minnie Pearl. Friskie is what we are because we love to play. Some of our favorite toys are toy mice and balls, cat tunnels, wand toys, and don't forget the laser pointer. We love all the kitty treats, brushing, and catnip our foster gives us. We really are love bugs. You know 2 kittens truly are better than 1!!  We really want to be adopted with one of our siblings. We are curious and playful and quickly warm up with food, play and lots of pets and love.  Our personalities are coming out and we all get our motors purring for pets and love.  We have our first vet appointment on 10/20 and will be ready for our forever homes in a few weeks.  A home for the holidays would be so amazing for each of us.  Hopefully that is with you.  To be considered for our forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (We are currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)    March 4, 2024, 11:49 am

Story
Meet Ashton, a truly beautiful and handsome 1 year old male orange and white boy that we call AMAZING! This boy is beyond all the destructive kitten stages of clawing and shredding and simply  LOVES everyone in the sweetest way. A wonderfully happy and very playful boy, he loves to mix it up for fun times with the other cats and kittens in the house . He ignors the dogs which is so interesting.  His favorite thing is to be held and kissed on. He will lay on your chest at night and give you face kisses just to make sure you're OK.  Aston is great with children and he enjoys sitting on your lap while you work.  The big picture wi down is a special place where he loves to look out the window and watch the action on the street. This cat has no bad traits or habits and his foster Mom can't say enough nice things about him. If you are interested in this boy please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and we will send you an application. March 4, 2024, 11:49 am

Story
Darla  Female 13 weeks old  3 pounds  Little Darla was born around Thanksgiving and this little pistol adores her people - she wants to have all your attention - she'll pounce on your foot or climb up in your lap to be sure of that.  Her mother is a stray that showed up on her Foster's farm after the people had been trying to tame momma cat for months.  Then she suddenly brought her newborn kittens out under their kitchen window and allowed the babies to be gathered and all brought into the house.  It was obvious that momma cat wanted her and all her babies to live in safety and love.  Darla and her brother and sister have known the foster parents since they opened their eyes.  They are wonderfully comfortable in the house and trained to a litter box as soon as they could walk.  They are happy little house kitties despite the half-wild origin and sweetly mama has come around to becoming socialized and loving.  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Story
Deana - Female DOB 8/24/2023 Domestic Medium Hair Gray - Meet Deana and Loretta! Deana and Loretta found themselves in a North Carolina shelter, just little bitty kittens and they were shy, so adopters were passing them by.  Luckily, we had a wonderful foster available and the girls were pulled from the shelter.  They took a little time to settle in and would first run when foster mom came into the cat room.  She soon learned that if she didn't approach them, they were so curious, that after a few minutes they would go to her.  They knew she was the nice lady with the yummy food and the fun wand toys!  The girls have now settled into our quiet room and because of their foster, they have blossomed into sweet, friendly girls!  Loretta is still a bit on the timid side but it doesn't take long for her to warm up to you....especially with treats and toys in the mix. Deana is on the fluffy side and Loretta is a sleek house panther, they make such an adorable pair.  The girls are looking for a home on the quieter side, and a patient family that will let them have a bit of time to settle in.  We know they are going to blossom further and own their new home in no time!  No dogs or small children would be best, but the girls are doing fine with other kitties in our quiet room.  If you are looking for a sweet pair of kittens, please apply via our easy online application at https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/All kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian.  Our application is available to be completed online at  https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/  Applying DOES NOT guarantee approval.  We hold meet and greets with approved applications only.  (Kittens are available for adoption in pairs only unless they are going home to another kitten or young cat under 3) Our policy is strictly NO DECLAWING and INDOOR ONLY. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Serafina is a gorgeous, 10-year-old, brown tabby and white kitty who was returned to HART this past Fall when her former family had to relocate and unfortunately could not take her with them. Her beautiful fur is amazingly soft and fluffy, and she definitely needs very regular brushing to stay looking and feeling her best. Serafina is sweet, friendly, and confident, and she loves receiving attention from people. She is what we affectionately call a "spicy" cat, and she will need a calm home without young chlidren, and with experienced, cat savvy adults who will help her acclimate to her new household. She is not a fan of most other cats, and, as you might imagine, living with a bunch of feline roommates is not her idea of a good time. Our Medical Team has placed her on a medication to help her cope with shelter life. We will require that her adopter has an established relationship with a veterinarian. Story
Maxine is a gorgeous and petite, 8.5-year-old, medium-haired, brown tabby who arrived at HART in the summer of 2023. Her beautiful coat has such unique markings, with splashes of gold interspersed between the stripes in her coat. Yeah, Maxine has a reputation for being something of a diva, and she isn't afraid to express a bit of her 'tude with you. Although she often prefers to stay in the safe space of her favorite comfy bed, she also enjoys playtime with her favorite toy, the catnip mouse. Maxine adores attention from visitors and will rub against you and roll over when you pet her--however, she might then reach out and whack you! Because of her tendency to act out and be unpredictable, Maxine will require a calm home without other animals or children, and with cat-savvy adults who have experience living with and caring for cats with strong personalities. Our Adoption Team will review her specific needs with you prior to adoption. We know this special girl will do great in a home where she feels truly comfortable, and with people who appreciate her sassy kitty self! Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Speck is a beautiful, volunteer-favorite, 13-year-old, long-haired, tabby girl with bright green eyes. Originally surrendered to HART in the Fall of 2021, Speck was adopted shortly thereafter but was then returned to us, at no fault of her own, because her household was not a good fit for her. She enjoys spending time with people, and while she has a somewhat reserved, subtle personality, she likes gentle attention and receiving scratches and pets. She is looking for a calm, quiet home without young children or dogs - but would do ok with cats that respect her space, and will be happy as your low-key feline buddy. Speck has significant environmental and flea allergies which are well-managed by feeding her a special, non-prescription, limited-ingredient diet (duck is the primary ingredient), giving her daily medication and supplements, and ensuring she is not exposed to fleas (we recommend using flea preventative year round). Speck also is hyper-thyroid. She takes medication twice per day for this, in a little pill wrap or pill pocket. Our Adoption Team will review her specific health needs with you before adoption. We will require that her adopters have a well-established relationship with a trusted veterinarian and that they be experienced cat guardians. We would love for Speck to find a home of her very own for her golden years. Please submit an adoption application and come in to meet this special kitty in Room 1.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As
