Story
Demi came to me a few years back when someone moved into my home and brought them up from Massachusetts. We did not have her medical history, prior owners did not have it either. She is a sweet and very loving lady and would love nothing more then get scratches and snuggle in a lap and purr the day away. She does come with a special needs as she a physical disability that hinders her abilities in some regards. She cannot use her back feet properly, she largely drags them behind her most of the time horizontally but she can prop them under her for steps on occasion but not for any length of time. The vets examined her and she has no pain or injuries. They also said surgery was not recommended as they didn't think it would help in the long run and would a lot of pain and discomfort for minimal likely gain. Her biggest issue is litter box, she understands litter boxes and tries to use the one we have but due to her physical limitation it is hard for her to position herself to use it.

Story
Grey’s Angel Girl was surrendered to Critter Cavalry Rescue last November, rescued from a farm of many, many sick cats.  This 3 year old was one of the lucky ones.  Not terribly sick; nothing that a few different medications quickly cured.  Now inside, in the kitty room, Grey definitely felt “out-of-sorts” for the first few months.  She was difficult to even touch the first several weeks.  A lot of hissing and fussing, I knew she was just scared.  Slowly but surely, Grey came to realize she was in a safe spot.  All this lady needed was a little love and reassurance every day, that it was all okay.  “This soft bed is for me?  This cozy cubby is mine?”  It has been rewarding to watch her improve day after day.  Grey is about 90% there, and with a little extra TLC, she will reach 100% in no time. There is a sweetheart in there.  Do you secretly cheer for the under-dog?  Or under-cat, in this case?  She so wants her forever home!  To pass the time, Grey Girl plays well on her own and alone.  She likes to bat the ball on the triple tiered ball toy.  Or the feathered toy on the end of the wand.  Grey Girl enjoys playing with the one year old female in the kitty room.  They play tag up and down the cat tower.  It is short-lived, but at least she has learned to play with others.  She is friendly with the other cats in the kitty room, but I think Grey would blossom more if she is the only cat getting all the attention!  She has never known that, being “the only cat”.  Grey can barely contain herself when mom pulls out the rubber brush!  No matter where she is in the kitty room, she is next to me immediately.  She is soon a large lump of love.  You can brush her for hours, it seems.  It is great watching her roll over and relax.  Grey has mastered the art of napping.  Don’t we all wish we could nap like a cat?  Head scratches?  Grey cannot get enough of them.  And back scratches, too?  Show me more!  Can you embrace this lovely, diluted grey and tan tortie with those big green, beautiful eyes?  It is time for her to get selected.  It is time for her to find her forever home.  Are you here to save the day?  To save Grey?  Please email CCR at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you want to be her 'Saving Greyce'.  Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 24, 2025, 8:15 pm

Story
Mama Della is a very lucky female orange tabby cat, who was picked up by a Critter Cavalry Rescue cat Foster mom and brought home with her litter of six beautiful babies. Kind of a one in a million situation for this girl to be able to raise her babies in the safety and nurturing care of a seasoned foster home. Her babies are healthy, she is spayed and ready to find her own loving family or person to adopt her. She is friendly and playful and snugly. No shyness about her at all. If you know anything about orange tabby cats, you will know that it is rare to have a female orange tabby cat. Again she's kind of one of those rare and special girls that got a life break when she was brought out of harm's way with her whole litter and nurtured during her time of nursing and raising her babies. If you would love to have this very young adult female orange tabby girl called Mama Della, Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Story
Meet Echo, the  sweet grey tabby girl who is the life of the party!  This spunky, playful girl loves toys and will spend much of her time batting around a little ball all day.  She is playful and sometimes a little too curious to sit still for cuddles.  Echo's life started out rough, living outside amongst a colony of feral cats.  Her life took a positive turn when she was rescued by a good samaritan and turned over to the rescue with eleven other kittens.  When it comes to cuddles, she is still a little shy and may not always sit still to be picked up but once she is, her little motor starts purring. (as long as she is not feeling curious at the moment). Trust takes time and in the case of strays and ferals, they usually relax completely once they are receiving daily love from their 'people'.   She is enjoying the warmth, food, and safety of his foster home but is looking forward to a home where she can spread her wings and explore a house of her own.   Echo is currently lives in a kitty condo and would love to experience what it is like to have access to a full home. Are you the one that can continue to teach her that life is good by sharing your lap and love with this sweet playful girl!  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in knowing more PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 27, 2025, 6:04 pm

Story
A short time ago, in a county not so far away, there were 6 kittens born on February 21, 2025.  And this furry little lady was a standout from day one.  Such unusual markings!  As the weeks progressed, and her fur began to grow, she reminded me of Chewbacca!  Thus started the Star Wars theme.  In addition, she was twice the size of her siblings.  So striking!  This Chewy hardly makes a sound, other than her constant purring.  Chewy protects her younger sister Rey from the rowdy wrestling of their brothers.  They can be a little overwhelming for the two ladies!  All the kittens are free to explore their universe, but they are contained to their galaxy room.  These little rebels enjoy chasing each other around the room, up and down the tower.  The flying fish on the wand tests their Jedi skills daily.  Chewy can jump pretty high!  She definitely holds her own.  Somersaults abounding!  Fun it is.  Especially that droid ball that rolls around on its own.  The force must be with it.  Is the force with you?  Don’t let this gorgeous kitten escape.  She is a rare beauty.  Chewy is not a needy kitten.  She entertains herself, and she especially likes to supervise the cleaning of the litter box.  And she also helps you with the broom when you are sweeping.  She just cannot figure out those plastics twigs!  Can I eat them?  Such a cute little fuzzball!  May the force be with you to call or email CCR and rescue this little creature.   Be the one to tell her, Chewy, we are home!  Let the wookie win your heart over.  Do or do not.  There is no try.  Now is the time!  Putting all cinematic jargons aside,This litter is one of the lucky ones.  They were born inside, in safe and dry quarters, and were nursed by their mama for 8 weeks, and then some.  We battled the typical parasites, fungal and bacterial infections that seem inherent with young kittens.  But these kittens have received attention, care and love from their first day on this planet.
