Story
Hello, my name is Tux!The GHS family thinks I'm awesome because I'm an adorable, playful, and affectionate kitten! I love to spend my days burning off all my silly kitten energy by wrestling with my siblings, climbing cat trees, and hunting dangly toys! When I'm tuckered out by all that playing, I enjoy snuggling up to people for a nice nap in their lap or arms. The world is a big scary place to a little kitten like me!  I hope to continue building my confidence with positive interactions in new situations, with lots of different people and animals; this will help me become a confident, well-socialized kitty as I get older. I've lived with other cats before, so a home with other playful feline friends would be great for me! Due to my sweet and curious nature, I would be a good match for a home with children or respectful dogs, with a slow introduction. If you're looking for a little kitten with a big purr-sonality, look no further than me! Please click the the "Adopt Me" button to complete an application; don't delay, make me yours today!

Story
River came to us with his Mom and siblings March 14, 2023 from a small rescue that was overwhelmed. This little family went to a foster home to allow the best outcome possible for them. River is a sweet cuddly kitten, playful and adventurous. He loves his treats and wet food. He is very social.River developed a condition called FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). This condition creates fluid in the abdomen and is fatal to cats. Luckily River was enrolled in the FIP study program and went through 84 days receiving daily GS pills and then 90 days receiving Mefloquine pills. We are thrilled to say that River survived his FIP diagnosis and is now a "FIP Survivor". The FIP treatment cost approximately $3,000.00. While River is cured now, he may or may not relapse but he is doing great so far. It is for this reason that we require a very strong vet relationship with a healthy cushion for vet related expenses. For more information about River and his success story, please contact the shelter at 519 833 2287 or by email at info@uppercredit.com.
