Story
Hi there, I’m Alba. Life has changed quite a bit for me lately — my beloved owner passed away, and now I find myself looking for a new home and a new person to love. Now I dream about finding my furever home — a quiet, patient place where I can finally relax and just be me. I’m a little shy when I first meet new people, so I’ll need some time to warm up, but I promise I’m worth the wait. Once I start to trust you, you’ll see that I have a soft, affectionate side that’s all my own. I have a few rules about affection, and I like to think they make me who I am. I love being petted on my head, cheeks, and back — those are my favorite spots. But please, don’t touch my paws, belly, or chest. Those areas make me uncomfortable, and I’ll let you know if you forget! I also really prefer to stay on all four paws. Being picked up is not my thing at all — it makes me feel nervous, and I can be a little, well, nasty about it. But when you respect my boundaries, I’ll reward you with headbutts, gentle meows, and a loyal companionship that comes straight from the heart. My favourite part of the day is curling up by a sunny window, watching birds and squirrels go about their day. Sometimes I’ll stretch out in a cozy bed and soak in the warmth, purring softly to myself. When I want attention — or a snack — you’ll hear my cute little meow as I weave around your legs. And if you bring out some catnip, I’ll be the happiest girl in the world, purring nonstop and rolling around in pure bliss. I know I have a few quirks, but I hope someone out there will see past them and understand me for who I am — a sweet, sensitive girl with a feisty streak and a big heart. I’ll do best in a calm home without kids, where my person knows how to go slow, use a quiet voice, and maybe offer a few treats to earn my trust. I just need someone patient enough to let me come to them on my own terms. If you give me that chance, I’ll show you what a wonderful companion I can be. I may not be perfect, but I promise I’ll fill your home with warmth, personality, and love — all while keeping my paws firmly on the ground. You may have noticed I’m an Underdog adoption this is because I require a patient and understanding adopter to help set me up for success. Luckily this means my adoption fee is up to you ($30 admin fee still applies)!

Story
Hello, I`m Kiri! I`m a sweet, cuddly, and friendly cat. I can be VERY shy about expressing my affection at first and in new places. But with a little bit of time and lots of cat nip and churu treats, I love to gift you with a gentle purr or a soft nuzzle. I`m quite vocal, often chatting away to anyone who`ll listen. I`m not just looking for a home, I`m looking for a companion. I love being petted (once I`m comfortable!) and I promise to be the most loving and loyal friend you`ll ever have. I may be an adult, but I have a heart full of kitten-like love to give. So, why should you adopt me? Because I promise to fill your life with love, laughter, and lots of cuddles. And I`m pretty sure you won`t find a better conversation partner than me!

Story
Hi! I’m X-ray Beam — yep, that’s really my name. Don’t worry, I don’t actually glow in the dark… yet. I came to the shelter as a tiny stray with my siblings, but I got pretty sick and had to be separated so I could focus on getting better. Thanks to the amazing medical team here, I’m feeling so much stronger and ready to find a home of my own.I’m a 3-month-old boy, friendly and sweet, but I’ll be honest — fast movements and loud noises still scare me. If you move slow and gentle, I warm up quickly and show my cuddly side. Once I trust you, I’m just your typical kitten: zoomies at 200% power, followed by dramatic naps like I’ve just run a marathon. If you’re patient, kind, and ready for a little guy who’s been through a lot but still has a big heart, I think we could be the perfect match. Come meet me — I promise I’m even cuter in person!

Story
Hello I`m Luna, a mature female looking for quiet adult human to act as resident caretaker (in your residence of course). You must be knowledgeable in reading my moods to ensure awareness of my wants, wishes and whims. Must have the ability to open doors within minutes whenever I want to go in or out. I will not share my home with other animals and will not tolerate children of any age living in the home. If you have the qualifications for this long-term employment opportunity please submit your application. Only those I consider qualified will be contacted for an interview. I am a special paws adoption, which means I do have medical needs that need tending to. It is suspected that I have lymphoma. I`m a Hidden Gem, so my adoption fee is waived ($30 admin fee still applies)!Note from Luna’s current staff: she is an indoor/outdoor cat and with her very specific employment requirements. She will require extra patience and understanding on the adopter’s part, as well as some experience in reading cat`s body language.

Story
Hi, I’m Bebe, I’m a sweet and sassy little lady with a big heart and a bit of a complicated past. I came to the shelter because I was having trouble using the litter box to go #2 — not my fault, I promise! I’ve had a condition called mega-colon in the past, which means my tummy can have a hard time doing what it’s supposed to. The awesome humans here are working hard to help figure out how to keep me comfy and on track. I’ve been through some stuff — I’m declawed on all four paws (ouch, I know), so I really rely on my humans to be gentle with me and treat me kindly. Even with all that, I love affection! I’ll lean into pets and soak up your attention... until I’ve had enough — then I might give a gentle love bite to let you know I need a break. I’m especially sensitive near my lower back and hind end, so please go easy in those spots. I’m friendly, curious, and just want a home where I can feel safe, loved, and understood. If you’re patient and kind, I’ll reward you with my quirky charm, cozy cuddles, and maybe even a head boop or two. I am a special paws adoption, which means I do have medical needs that need tending to. But because of this, my adoption fee is totally up to you ($30 admin fee still applies)!

Story
Hi… I’m Pookie. I may not be the bravest cat right now, but I promise I have a big heart that’s just waiting for the right person to help it bloom. I was found as a stray, and the world has felt a little scary ever since. Here in the shelter, I can get nervous and shy, and sometimes I hiss when I’m afraid — but it’s only because everything is new and overwhelming for me. I’ve never forgotten how to love… I just need a safe place to feel comfortable again. I dream of a quiet, patient forever home where I can take things at my own pace. Someone who will let me hide when I need to, talk to me softly, and help me learn that gentle hands and warm hearts are something I can trust. Once I feel safe, I know I’ll show you my true self — the sweet, tender cat who wants nothing more than a calm space and someone to call my own. If you have room in your heart for a shy soul who needs a second chance, I’d be so grateful to share my life with you.
