Story
Hello, I'm Tessa. Life in the shelter can be a bit overwhelming for a shy soul like me. I'm more of a quiet corner dweller, observing the world from a safe distance. I'm not the first to come forward for a pat, but that doesn't mean I don't crave affection. I just need a bit more time to trust. It's hard to show my true colors here, but I promise, I have so much love to give. I just need a patient and understanding human to help me feel secure. Adopting me means giving a shy cat a chance to blossom in a loving home. As you may notice i'm considered a special paws adoption and this is because I am FIV positive. This also means my adoption fee is up to you! Some additional information about FIV for any interested adopters: An IDEXX FIV/FeLV test was performed in shelter using whole blood, and a positive FIV test result was noted. Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) compromises the immune system, so routine preventive healthcare is important. Cats with FIV commonly live normal life spans so long as they do not have other pre-existing conditions, and any medical concerns are promptly addressed with a veterinarian. The primary mode of transmission for FIV is through bite wounds. As a result, cats in households with stable social structures where housemates do not fight are at little risk of acquiring FIV infections. FIV it is a species-specific virus that infects only felines, with no evidence it can infect or cause disease in humans. Rarely false positive tests can occur, particularly if an animal has been vaccinated against FIV. It is recommended that you follow up with your primary care veterinarian to establish a preventive healthcare plan post adoption!

Story
Plenty is a lovely, long-legged tabby female with a fluffy tail. Her coat is short haired but her tail has long hair that adds to her personality. Plenty loves to be near her human but not underfoot. Plenty has a delicate face and wears a ring of dark grey on her chest like a necklace. She enjoys her catnip mouse to play with; and if she get the ‘zoomies' , she is predicting some weather or wind. Plenty was a dedicated mother to kittens that were all adopted and now she is ready for relaxing in her own forever home. This cat enjoys playing and jumping on a large brown paper bag. She is mature enough to have gentle manners and delicate eater. She may even end up sleeping with her human at the food of the bed. Her meow is soft and low but she will ‘talk' with her human for food or attention. Plenty loves to be with her human yet can be left alone at home. Plenty especially loves to be scratched under her chin. As you may notice Plenty is considered at Special Paws adoption which means the adoption fee is up to you! This is because she had a polyp removed from her left ear and we can't guarantee that she won't ever have problems again the future, we don't predict this to be an ongoing problem but can't say for sure.

Story
Hello, I'm Leo the Lion, a young, curious soul. I'm always on the hunt for new adventures, whether it's exploring the nooks and crannies of my shelter home or playing with my favorite ball of yarn. My days are filled with discovery, but what I really want is to share my curiosity and love with someone special. I'm also a cuddly little guy. I love nothing more than curling up on a warm lap after a long day of exploration. I may be a lion in name, but I promise, I'm a kitten at heart. I'm ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love to your home. Will you be my forever adventure partner?
