Boots is a wonderful cat, who is FIV+ and also a tripod. Boot's owner could not afford surgery for her injured front left leg, so she was surrendered to a local vet clinic, and they were able to amputate her leg. Boots was cared for during her recovery by a wonderful staff member from this clinic and then transferred to Purrfect Pals to find a wonderful furever family! Boots is able to get around just fine on three legs, she can run, jump up on items, and play too! Boots will take a bit of time to get to know you, but she warms up quickly. Boots can be reactive, she needs an owner who is cat savvy. If she is in a kennel, she will resource guard her food, but she is fine in an open room. Like all Purrfect Pals cats, Boots has been viral tested (positive for FIV but negative for feline leukemia), vaccinated, microchipped, and altered. My name is Peppa Pig and no I am not a pig. Although I was pretty round when I came into my foster home. Inside of 24 hours, I popped out 6 babies and then after a few weeks, if that wasn't enough headaches...i mean little darlings to look after, I inherited a couple more to feed and look after. Honestly, I think I was doing enough before the last 2 came along but they are all weaned now and can find therir own homes. That means I get to relax now too and find my forever home too. Let me tell you about me. I was technically a stray as I was living outside, but I was friendly so perhaps I wasn't always an outside cat. I have adapted to having air conditioning and meals on time and in bowls very well and would not like to go back to living rough in the wilds of San Antonio. I am friendly and like to rub up against you when I am hungry, thirsty, want to be petted or just for the heck of it. I like having people around and I purr, purr, purr.
