Story
Frank is a very bright and curious cat. He plays versions of soccer and hide and seek. I adopted him from SPCA in February. The notice on cage said “ doesn’t like other cats. “ I have cats living on each side. With the cat next door—a large male—I see them just viewing each other from their perches on the fence There are 4 cats that live behind me. Frank chased the male down the street. He bothers the female cats. They want nothing to do with him. So my biggest problem is that I need to arrange times Frank can be outside with that neighbor so Frank doesn’t bother those cats. I have a cat door and my other cats have been able to come and go. And Frank needs to be outdoors and he loves checking on what I am doing in the yard and chasing around the yard. He is not a suitable cats for very young children as he likes to chase and jump around. I am not at home enough and he gets bored and chews up newspaper He’s the first cat I have had that prefers to have his head and face scratched.

Story
Charlotte is a striking grey and white bi-color cat with bright, jade-green eyes. Charlotte has a calm, regal disposition. She's hesitant at first, but once she decides that you're worthy to pet her, she will start to purr and nuzzle into your hand. She especially enjoys being brushed and having her shoulders and back scratched. Charlotte relishes a solid perch during the day to survey her domain and nap; she fastidiously grooms her soft coat and enjoys a good feather-toy chase. When it's mealtime, she will let you know with a gentle head-butt. She protests being picked up with a squawky meow, but will gladly sit beside you and quietly keep you company all day long. At night, Charlotte happily settles into the same spot next to you in bed with loud content purring. Charlotte, and her companion Josie, were adopted together as kittens, and have always been well cared for. Unfortunately, their human owner passed away last year. Charlotte's in good health, and has had recent vet visits and a normal senior blood panel. Charlotte and Josie are both front-paw declawed and must be indoor-only cats. Charlotte and Josie would be happiest in a home with relaxed adults who can give them lots of attention and plenty of playtime. They tend to get stressed around other cats, so they would prefer to be the sole pets in the household and have all of their human's attention. It takes a conscious decision to adopt an older cat (especially a pair of them), but it is also very rewarding. Mature cats have complex and well-developed personalities, and they bond strongly with the people in their lives. We've really enjoyed fostering these two easy-going girls, and know that they will be wonderful companions. Charlotte is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. She currently lives with her foster family in Sunnyvale. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Josie (& Charlotte) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact John Sullivan at sullivan@enyo.com or 1-408-813-6320. If you are unable to reach John Sullivan please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

Story
Josie is a sweet tabby cat with large, golden, shining eyes and a white mask on her chin. She is quite agile and if you extend your hand to her pet her, she may decide to dart away or to nuzzle and lick you with gentle kisses. She is always interested in what you are doing and will chat with you in short trills in response to anything you say or do. Josie can be quite feisty and curious and prefers to chase blueberries or light reflections on the ceiling/walls. She scampers up and down the hallway when she thinks no one is watching. She will nimbly leap on the bed to sleep at your feet at night, but often decides to climb onto your chest if you don't toss and turn much. Once she learns your routine, Josie makes a great alarm clock cat and will wake you up by sniffing your face and often licking your nose! Josie, and her companion Charlotte, were adopted together as kittens, and have always been well cared for. Unfortunately, their human owner passed away last year. She is in good health, and has had recent vet visits and a senior blood panel. She has a minor thyroid issue that is easily maintainable with minimal medication. Josie is missing many of her teeth and mainly eats soft food. Josie and Charlotte are both front-paw declawed and must be indoor-only cats. Josie and Charlotte would be happiest in a home with relaxed adults who are able to give them lots of attention and plenty of playtime. They tend to get stressed around other cats, so they would prefer to be the sole pets in the household and have all of their human's attention. Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Hi! I’m Paige, a VERY cute black mackerel tabby girl with a thick velvet coat and mom says I am a big girl. I’m here looking for my very own family! My hobbies include: hogging ALL the pets! having long conversations with the backyard birdies eating lots of yummies playing with my foster mates! I’m a sweet playful tomboy (what can I say, I was the only girl in my litter!) kind of girl but can be a bit bashful with new people. You see, I’m coming from a place where my littermates and I were abandoned, and where it was hard to trust, so I take some time to come around. But don’t worry, because my energetic, playful side will reveal itself in no time if you are patient! And did I mention my good looks? I’m looking for a somewhat calm home, with people who have patience to allow me the time I need to blossom into my awesome self! Mom says I would do best with a kitty friend or two who enjoy playing with someone who loves a good match and while I may be slow with getting to know you, I promise, once I know you, I will be your bestest friend ever! My foster mom says I am spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eat wet and dry food, and am litterbox perfect. They say that’s good! I currently live with my foster family in Sacramento. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats (like me) with qualified adopters who will cherish me and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you’re my perfect adopter, please explain why in the comments section of my Adoption Application, and contact Dayna at meandmyfosters@outlook.com. If you are unable to reach Dayna, please email info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children to bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!

Story
Gracie will love and protect her person Gracie lost her special person and we are helping her find another special person. Gracie was found at her person's front doorstep on 12/2017. After checking for a possible lost cat situation it was assumed that she was either left behind or dumped in the neighborhood. Age is estimated at 11+ years old. Her person recently passed and she is in need of someone she can call her own.   Gracie is an alpha girl. She 'manages' dogs well but does not care for other cats in her territory. She is totally devoted to her person, loves love, will follow you and protect. She has never met a person she didn't like. Not sure about small children. She is playful, really bright, curious and loves to explore. She knows how to use a dog door and will do so. I believe cats should be indoors (including her) but, at this time, she goes out to the back yard through the (necessary) dog door to  lounge for a while. I am sure she would love a catio or simply remain in the home (without access to a dog door). She has no problem with using the cat box and stays indoors most of the time.   She was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and has a compounded transdermal ear cream which is applied twice daily. Will need to have T4 levels checked by the prescribing veterinarian on occasion. She is doing really well!    Inquiries regarding Gracie will be forwarded to her caretaker for action       Apply to adopt here! Online cat application form  Applications are also available on the website  (www.yolospca.org)    It can take up  to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application.   The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. For more information about this animal, please email yolospcafoster@gmail.com. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.    All of our felines have been altered prior to adoption. Kittens have been given their first shots of FVRCP, adults are up-to-date on vaccinations, and all cats have been Feline Leukemia tested (negative) and micro chipped. The fee to adopt is $135 for kittens or $80 for adults over 1 year (the fee helps cover these costs and the cost of the microchip registration).  A reduced fee is available for adopting a second cat or kitten   For more information about an animal, please email yolospcafoster@gmail.com. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org.  May 1, 2024, 11:13 pm
