I adopted Josie from Sacramento SPCA just over a year ago. I was told that her owner had passed away. She is 3 or 4 years old. She keeps to herself. She hides under the bed or sits in the window. She does not like to be around other animals. I feel she would do best as an only pet in the house. I have been patient with her and have made her feel safe. She is aggressive with my other cat. It is not a healthy situation. I know if she is the only pet getting all the love she can be really sweet.

She and her sister - (sister has been adopted) were adopted as kittens together and came back to us when their owner went into a care facility. Both girls are social, independent and friendly, and they like being near their family while also enjoying their own space. They have been the only two cats in a home but are now embracing a new adventure in a foster home with other feline friends.their doing well and can be adopted as a single.
