Story
Meet Mazikeen, the charmingly talkative cat with a big personality and plenty of opinions. She is an independent girl who is happy to relax around the home and entertain herself, but when in the mood for attention, she becomes very loveable. Mazikeen can get overstimulated at times if she feels overwhelmed with petting, so she is required to go to an adult only home that respects her boundaries. She thrives in a calm environment where she can share her thoughts and enjoy peaceful moments with her people. However, she has decided that she doesn’t want another cat to share those moments as well, so she is required to be the one and only in her new home. Adopting Mazikeen means bringing home a unique, loving friend who will enrich your life with her distinctive charm and engaging conversations.Adoption Fee: $50

Story
URSULA 1 year old seal point dilute torti female Ursula is a mellow, affectionate, beautiful girl. She has unique coloring. She’s a seal point with a swirly dilute torti pattern. Ursula is a mild and reserved, yet affectionate girl. She likes other cats and tolerates dogs, but mostly loves her people. She has a thick coat and likes gentle itchy-scratches with pets and brushes. Ursula came to us with a severe upper respiratory infection and is still prone to a chronic snotty nose and crusty eyes. Her condition is very dependent upon her level of stress. Once she gets settled into her forever home, the symptoms will recede, getting less and less. But we expect her to have some degree of nasal congestion and eye drainage for the duration of her long life. All that she requires is a cleaning wipe of her nose and face twice a day to keep her comfortable and able to breathe easily. Ursula is such a beautiful girl, she deserves to find a caring forever home and a family for her to love on. Apply at: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IBRI/Cat

Story
Likes friendly dogs, cats, people, everyone Eats Friskies canned pâté Avril has completed FIP treatment with flying colors! She is healthy and ready to go to her forever home at last. Avril is a beautiful black and brown tabby who’s siblings have long since been adopted. Throughout her treatment she has intermingled with dozens of foster kitties and dogs. She is very playful, very active, very affectionate, and very curious. She is a proficient communicator, warbling, meowing, purring; she can be a very chatty girl. Avril is a multifaceted girl… She loves her cat tower, she likes to snuggle, she likes to do what you’re doing and be there encouraging you throughout the day. She’s never taken to dry food, but prefers canned food with a little warm water for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This sweet girl has been through the ringer, but despite that her rosy personality shines through. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IBRI/Cat

Boomer 11/9/25 Female DSH gray and white 21 Months Gets along with cats, dogs, and small children Eats Purina One Healthy Advantage Adopted from IBR and returned with Jellybean Let me make this clear! No, that is not a beard on my chin and yes, I am a female named Boomer! I am a quiet, gentle and affectionate cat who loves to rub against your legs to let you know I care about you. If you say, "Does Boomer want a ball?," I perk up and get ready to chase a crinkle ball across the floor like a world class soccer player! I have spent the last 18 months with my girlfriend, Jellybean. The circumstances in our home have made it necessary to find a new home with friends of Itsie Bitsie Rescue. We have been a part of that family since we were bottle babies. It is not a requirement that we be adopted together, but it would be wonderful. I have no bad habits and will only bring joy to your home once I get acclimated. I come with a bed, carrier, toys, and a massive cat tree if you want those things. My temporary foster family will see that you get them. Would you consider giving me a second chance at a happy life. I would love you for it. http://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IBRI/Cat

Story
Mittens is a 3 year old cutie. He was rescued from the shelter when he was very young. He is a spunky and cuddly cat who would benefit from a family that can play with him and give him some quality time. He is a very good cat and I just want him to go to a loving home. He does have anxiety and needs daily meds and prescription food but it doesn't impact his daily life beyond that. He needs extra water in his food and he is good to go. I can send him with toys, some food and meds, a scratch post and a fully paid for litter robot, free of charge. Like I said, I just want him to go to a good home. He is a very good cat. He is curious, likes to play and drools when he is happy. He is good with dogs and would be an excellent companion for the long term. Please reach out with any questions.

Story
My mother has been fostering cats for quite a while now and this beautiful baby has come into our care, but unfortunately, we do not have them means to keep taking care of him. He is very well rounded with other cats/dogs and is great with people. Most of the cats that we have are very well socialized and potty trained.

Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the endHi, my name is Cici and I’m a beautiful white and black young lady. I’m typically a quiet, easy-going gal, but I do love play time. I like all kinds of cat toys (teaser wands are a favorite) and also love to play with other kittens. I also love to climb, so don’t be surprised if you find me on top of a cat tree or on the windowsill checking out what’s going on outside! I am currently in a foster home with two other kittens (Baguette and Finn). Although we aren’t related, we get along really well, playing, cuddling, and sleeping together. I’d love to be in a home with another kitty, especially if it was with one of my step-siblings! I can be a bit shy to start, but you’ll find that once I’ve gotten to know you, I have lots of love to give. I have a good purr motor and I like to talk quietly to you (eg. I’ll remind you when it’s time for my wet food!). I like hang around near you, hop into your lap for pets, and give you ankle rubs and chin rubs. If you really want to get my attention, please offer me some treats (I love Temptations and Churu!)! I know I’ll make a lovely companion and am I’m looking forward to the opportunity to reward you with my playful charm and quiet affection! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***Food Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***Post Adoption Support It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! Story
Ginny is a 12 year old Bengal purebred. We got her when she was 7 months old. She is a sweet cat. Doesn't like to be picked up, but she will come sit with you on her own. She has a quiet purr, you almost can't even hear it. Ginny has lived with 2 other cats her entire time with us. She doesn't like new cats, but should be able to get used to them. About 5 years ago she started peeing on things (husband's laundry, kid's toys, blankets left on the floor, couches, etc.) We eventually got her on kitty prozac and that has mostly helped resolve the issue. It is a lotion you put in her ear once a day and costs about $70 a month. She also developed inflammatory bowel disease. Putting her on a hydrolyzed protein cat food mostly helps, but she does continue to poop outside the box. Perhaps a less stressful environment would help. Or someone who can afford to continue running additional tests with the vet's office. We love Ginny very much and hope you will too.
