Story
Meet Cali Rose, a senior cat with a personality that shines. She`s friendly and affectionate, always ready to greet you with a soft purr and a gentle nudge. While she doesn`t enjoy being picked up, she appreciates gentle petting. Her independent streak means she`s content to explore her surroundings or relax on her own. She`s also mellow and easy-going. Cali Rose prefers a calm environment, so any children in her new home are required to be 10 or over. She lived with a dog in her previous home and did well, so she may do well with dogs in her new home with a slow introduction. Cali Rose would prefer to be the only cat in her new home, so if she does go to a home with a feline friend, a slow introduction is very important. Adopting Cali Rose means gaining a loyal friend who will offer you unconditional love and companionship in her golden years.Adoption Fee: $50

Story
Attention cat lovers! Come on over to the Placer SPCA and meet your new best friend! Sarama is a handsome adult cat who is ready to find his family. He came to us as a stray and was very reserved and fearful in his new and overwhelming environment. Shelter staff knew there was a happy, loving cat there waiting to be discovered, so he came to our adoption center to spend time with our special cat volunteers! Sarama has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate cat who will walk up to you and ask you for some cheek scratches. One of our volunteers has discovered that Sarama enjoys laps! His silly personality is sure to make you smile as he rolls over and flops around with joy (make sure to see his pictures). Sarama has lived with many other cats while at the shelter, so he will likely do well with other cats in his new home with a slow introduction. We think he would do best in a home with experienced cat owners and no children under 10.Adoption Fee: Waived!

Story
Chewy is a special senior looking for his new home. At 15 years-young, he has wisdom to share and is ready to sit back and relax with good company. This big tabby boy loves receiving pets and leans his head into your hands for more. Curling up in a sunny spot is his idea of a good afternoon. Chewy can be a little nervous when he is in novel situations or around new people, so give him some time to settle in and get comfy. Before you know it, he will have his sweet personality on display. He doesn`t enjoy the company of other cats, so he is required to be the only cat in his new home. Adoption Fee: $50Monthly Promo Applies

Story
Meet Miss Ellie, a gentle soul with a heart as warm as a sunbeam. She`s an adult tabby with a nurturing spirit, having raised a litter of kittens with tender love. Miss Ellie is the embodiment of a friendly feline, although she can be a bit shy. She needs a bit of time to warm up to new faces, but once she does, she`s your friend for life. Miss Ellie is positive for FIV. This doesn`t slow her down or bother her at all, but it does mean she is required to be an indoor only cat. Her gentle nature makes her a perfect companion for those seeking a calm, loving pet. She may do well with other cats in her new home with a slow introduction. Miss Ellie is not just a cat, she`s a friend waiting to share her love. Adopting Miss Ellie means inviting a lifetime of love, warmth, and gentle purrs into your home.Adoption fee: $50

Story
Lana & Taylor Bonded Sisters 9 Months Raised with older teens, cats, and gentle dogs Eating Purina One Healthy Kitten dry kibble Taylor is a domestic short hair dilute tortie with beautiful grey, peach, and cream markings. Lana is a domestic medium hair dark tortie with the most gorgeous fur and floofy tail. Lana and Taylor came into our care last summer needing a lot of supportive medical care to treat their severe upper respiratory infections (URIs). After months of treatment it was concluded that they both have chronic URIs due to the severity of their illness when they were tiny kittens. This just means they have chronic congestion or sniffles and weepy eyes at times (similar to seasonal allergy symptoms) but otherwise are healthy happy kittens. They are bonded sisters and we’d like to keep them together as they will need to go to a home that does not have other cats or already has cats with chronic URIs as well. They are both friendly, loving, quick to purr, and playful. They both love being held and Lana is a ragdoll in your arms and enjoys being held like a baby and snuggled and cuddled. They are also big “talkers” and will shower you with trills for your attention. They both love to be where their humans are and will follow you from room to room to keep you company. Taylor tends to stay closer to her people and Lana is a little more independent. They love to play and their favorite toys are wand toys, anything with a feather, and fuzzy balls. They’ve grown up with respectful dogs, cats, and older teens and do well with everyone. We think they’d do great with younger kids too. These girls are super special and we’re hoping the perfect home is out there for them.

Story
Likes friendly dogs, cats, people, everyone Eats Friskies canned pâté Avril has completed FIP treatment with flying colors! She is healthy and ready to go to her forever home at last. Avril is a beautiful black and brown tabby who’s siblings have long since been adopted. Throughout her treatment she has intermingled with dozens of foster kitties and dogs. She is very playful, very active, very affectionate, and very curious. She is a proficient communicator, warbling, meowing, purring; she can be a very chatty girl. Avril is a multifaceted girl… She loves her cat tower, she likes to snuggle, she likes to do what you’re doing and be there encouraging you throughout the day. She’s never taken to dry food, but prefers canned food with a little warm water for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This sweet girl has been through the ringer, but despite that her rosy personality shines through. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IBRI/Cat
