Story
Meet Steven  Male | Medium Energy Steven’s foster mom—an experienced cat foster with a soft spot for special felines—says he’s “an absolute joy to have around.” From the moment he arrived, Steven displayed gentle confidence, greeting new people with a quiet purr and settling in as though he’d always belonged. He’s mellow enough to snooze in a sunbeam yet playful enough to chase a feather wand when you invite him. Steven has perfect tablemanners: he shares space politely during mealtimes and never guards his food. He’s also wonderfully catsavvy, getting along well with the resident feline and calmly observing the world from a favorite perch. While he hasn’t met dogs or small children yet, his easygoing nature suggests he’ll adapt well given a thoughtful introduction. Affection is Steven’s specialty. Sit down to read or work and he’ll pad over to curl beside you, gently nudging for ear scratches. In the evenings he transforms into a firstrate lap warmer, purring contentedly while you wind down. Steven is the complete package—outgoing, friendly, and relaxed. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will brighten your days with quiet charm and steady devotion, Steven is ready to come home. Ready to add Steven to your family? ##2360914##

Story
DO NOT CONTACT EAPL!!!  PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER DIRECTLY  Lisa  720-985-7407 Sweet and beautiful Cleo is in need of a sweet and stable home.  I unfortunately have been traveling and moving a lot in the past 5 years – 6 different houses.   As I’m now retired, I do have plans to continue to travel.  My previous cat (Peaches, 21 yrs) didn’t mind travel.   Plus, I didn’t really travel much when I had her and was working. I love Cleo and know these past few years have not been fair to her.   She does not like to travel.  Additionally, cats like to be settled in a place they can identify as their territory.  Cleo is inherently a bit of a scaredy cat, so the different homes have been stressful for her – and for me because I worry about her. She’s independent and will choose to sit on your lap.  You do not choose to put her on your lap.   But she does come and sit with you. She can be a bit feisty, especially when it comes to going to the vet.  But overall, she’s a sweet little girl. I’m looking for a loving household who will love her and provide a stable home.   She will be 8 this April 22. Please call Lisa at 720-985-7407 to inquire and visit her.  We’re in Chatfield Bluffs, just south of C470 on Kipling. March 20, 2025, 6:48 pm

Story
Rescued by an EAPL volunteer, who took her in as a stray from the neighborhood.  It was much too cold these past weeks not to have a kind heart towards a sweet girl.  While still a bit shy, this beautiful black and gold tortoiseshell, is now settling into the EAPL Cat Adoption Center, at Chow Down in Bergan Park.  More than likely abandoned, Elsie is about 2 years, vetted and so ready for her own home.  She is great with kids and adults but does NOT tolerate dogs. Be sure to look for her when you next visit.  She's a very beautiful girl. May 4, 2025, 5:13 pm

Story
Timid F2 Savannah Cat Seeking Quiet, Patient Home Born December 2023, this stunning 1-year-old F2 Savannah is a shy, curious girl looking for the right environment to thrive. She hasn’t meshed well with her two current cat housemates and would do best as the only pet or with a confident, dominant cat she can’t intimidate. She loves to nap and eat, and although she currently avoids affection, it’s more from a lack of trust than disinterest. She tends to hide or stay close to walls, but when she feels safe and unobserved, her playful and inquisitive side shines through. She needs a calm, loving home with someone experienced, patient, and attentive—someone willing to invest time in building trust and gently correcting behaviors. In the right hands, she has the potential to bond deeply and blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. She is fully healthy and up to date on care. A rare beauty ready for a second chance at feeling safe, loved, and truly at home.

Story
I got Peggy a little over a year ago. She is a 5 year old domestic short hair cat. She is tricolored with brown, black, and white. Peggy is a very fun cat. She is extremely cuddly, loves pets, and loves sleeping on fuzzy blankets. She can be a little feisty when she's riled up or wants space, but she's still an extremely sweet cat. She likes to play with toys that she can chase, like laser pointers. She doesn't do well with other pets, and is very much a one or two person cat. She is also a very vocal cat, and can and will tell you what she needs. I'm looking for someone who can be home and give her more attention than I can, as I work two jobs and am a college student.

Story
I’m hoping to find a good home for this sweet little guy. I’ve been fostering him and struggling to find the time to get him adopted due to some family emergencies. Beasty Boy, a neutered, 3 &1/2 yr old male kitty was my sister’s cat. She found him as a stray and took care of him for a short time until she passed away. Energetic and loveable, he craves attention and is happy to play, hop on your lap for pets, or catch soft toys like a soccer goalie. Because my sister had multiple cats, and what he dealt with as a stray, he’s afraid of cats, which causes him stress and urinary discomfort so is on a urinary diet which works well. He uses the litterbox no problem. Beasty has become very affectionate in the time I’ve fostered him. He’s still young and learning to trust and needs someone who’s gentle, patient, and eager to create a loving atmosphere. Beasty is a good boy and deserves a chance at a better life. I’d like to extend the love my sister had for him and find his forever home.

Story
Mae-Mae showed up at my door in Tennessee with her sister, Bell. They were 4-6 months old in October, 2024, so they are about 1 year old. Mae LOVES having the back and front of her neck scratched—I won her over that way. Mae had one stillborn kitten I helped her with in December, 2024, but I got her spayed, chipped and her shots in January, 2025. She loves playing with her sister, Bell. They are very close and I would love to see them stay together.
