Blue seems skittish around adults until she gets used to them, though she did let me handle her the other day and was not aggressive. She tends to hide in places where she can be alone. S he was never really around children or dogs, and only around two other cats; an older cat that Dad called Mama cat, she went missing several years ago; and Gemma, dad's other kitty . The only reason I have to relinquish them is because their owner, my father, passed away recently (cancer). His one demand for us before he passed was to make sure we found new homes for them. He enjoys being outside and has a special talent for looking at you like he’s judging you, despite his desire for love. His markings are one of a kind, truly a gorgeous cat. Playful and inquisitive, Stewie also likes to help with house projects. Stewie needs a new home because his previous owner, my sister, died and I am not able to provide him a regular home. I unfortunately have been traveling and moving a lot in the past 5 years – 6 different houses. As I’m now retired, I do have plans to continue to travel. My previous cat (Peaches, 21 yrs) didn’t mind travel. Plus, I didn’t really travel much when I had her and was working. I love Cleo and know these past few years have not been fair to her. She does not like to travel. Additionally, cats like to be settled in a place they can identify as their territory. Cleo is inherently a bit of a scaredy cat, so the different homes have been stressful for her – and for me because I worry about her. She’s independent and will choose to sit on your lap. You do not choose to put her on your lap. But she does come and sit with you. She can be a bit feisty, especially when it comes to going to the vet. But overall, she’s a sweet little girl. She purrs like crazy when she gets pet like that. She isn't the cuddliest but definitely shows affection and purrs a lot when she is happy. She really does not like dogs, and she would do best as the only pet. She is cared for and loved in her current home, but we feel very badly that she never warmed up to the dogs and is very scared of them. She really is very sweet and deserves a nice quiet home where she can not be scared of the dogs all the time.
