Story
We always have Barn and Farm cats to place! Most of these are cats who are not friendly with people, although many do become so over time. These cats live outside primarily and help reduce rodent and pest populations. Farms, barns, feed stores, warehouses, greenhouses, or any building that offers a cat escape from severe weather and predators is ideal for placement. We like to place in pairs but that is not required. The cats in these photos are shy/timid with people but not aggressive and would do best in an outdoor home, not as a house cat. We ask for a $50 fee for each cat adopted however we do spend about $150 per cat to be spayed or neutered and get vaccines so any additional donation is greatly appreciated. Story
Blue is a very sweet, easy going, and affectionate adult kitty approx 4-5 years old. He came to us when his owner went into the hospital and could no longer provide care. He was an only cat before coming to us but did well in a multi-cat foster home. Blue does prefer girl kitties over other boys :) He loves to follow you around and will sit on the couch or bed for hours being petted. If interested in adopting, start at CatsCT.org. and submit an application. See this kitty in purrson at PETCO, 4559 Main St, Bridgeport weekends 11-2.

Story
Mona is a sweet and gentle girl about 2 1/2 who came to us as a stray. She loves to have attention and spend time with people. Mona gets along with most other nice cats or would be happy having all your attention to herself. Mona has tested positive for FIV, also known at kitty Aids. Just like with people it is NOT contagious through casual contact. It's safe to share food, water, and litter box with a negative cat. FIV is only passed by mating or a deep bite wound, where saliva from the positive cat enters the blood stream of another kitty. This is very rare in socialized house cats. FIV cats may have a shorter life span in part due to the fact that with a compromised immune system they are more prone to contracting infections. FIV positive cats must live strictly indoors to reduce the chances of contracting something dangerous. It is NOT a death sentence! FIV positive cats can live well into their teens and have a very normal life. Mona was fostered in a home with several negative cats. If interested in adopting, start at CatsCT.org. and submit an application. See this kitty in purrson at PETCO, 4559 Main St, Bridgeport anytime the store is open.

Story
KIRI is a sweet and playful kitten about 10 months old. We think she was kicked as she had several broken ribs when we first took her. One of her back legs does not support weight and this could be related to her physical injuries OR she could have a very mild case of "CH" - cerebellar hypoplasia. Kiri loves other cats and loves to play. She would be a great companion for another kitty in your home or would be happy having all your attention to herself. She is a bit shy/nervous with new people at first but loves food and treats which is a great way to make friends with her initially. She does not have almost any special needs except a home without stairs. She uses a little box just fine, she can get up on her cat condo and on the couch. With a set of stairs that offer some grip, she will likely have no trouble getting up on a bed either. If interested in adopting, start at CatsCT.org. and submit an application. Meet this kitty in purrson at Bridgeport Petco, 4559 Main St on weekends 11-2.

Story
Tyson is a very friendly guy about 8 months old who loves to play. He gets along well with other cats and would be a great companion for another young cat in your home. Tyson came to us as a stray, likely put outside once he grew out of cute little kitten stage, or maybe his people moved and left him behind. He loves to be petted and snuggle with people when tired out from playing. If interested in adopting, start at CatsCT.org. to submit an application. See this kitty in purrson at PETCO, 4559 Main St, Bridgeport any time they're open!
