Story
Lola gave birth to her kittens and was such a good mama to them. They have all been adopted and now Lola is hanging out in foster care waiting for her family to find her. She can still be a bit timid, but has enjoyed living in a family environment with her foster pal, Dilly. Her foster mom thinks these two could go home either together or separately but both would benefit from kitty friends in their new home.. Lola loves to play with Dilly – sometimes meowing to her in the early morning to wake up and come play. She will give you slow, meaningful indications of her feelings – leaving toys at your bedside, giving you soulful looks from afar, and every so often – reaching out a paw when you least expect it. The way to Lola's heart with stuffed toys, catnip, treats, and meat flavored baby food. Both Lola and her pal Dilly have really blossomed in foster care and are ready for their forever. We would love them to have a home together but would consider separate adopters as well! Dilly is about 7years old, UTD on vaccinations, spayed and FIV/FELV NEGATIVE. Lola is about 5 years old, UTD on vaccinations, spayed and FIV/FELV NEGATIVE.Apply at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28

Story
Dusty was originally a TNR with his buddy Rusty but the trapper decided to give them a chance in her home. They would do best with somebody who has experience in socializing shy kitties. They do have the potential to be a great pair of housecats. MHS would also consider the pair in a safe warehouse/barn situation with proper acclimation. They would make super mousers!Rusty is FIV+ which does NOT require daily medications nor impact his quality of life. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is ONLY passed through deep bite wounds between cats and cannot be passed to other animal species or humans. FIV kitties can live with, share food bowls, litter boxes, groom and wrestle with non FIV housemates with no risk of transmission. Rusty is neutered, UTD on vaccinations and microchipped.Dusty is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, FIV POSITIVE AND FELV NEGATIVE and micro chipped. If you are interested please fill out a feline adoption application at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28

Story
It's time for you to adopt our trusty boy, Rusty! Rusty came to our shelter after a samaritan decided to give him a chance. After being a very shy boy for awhile, he has finally realized how great pets can be. Rusty absolutely loves other cats and would do best in a home with them! Rusty would need a patient owner as he still is a bit shy but once he knows you, he LOVES to be pet and is a total mush about it! Rusty loves cuddling with other cats and absolutely loves treat time. This sweet boy is still young and deserves to spend the rest of his life in a home! Rusty is FIV+ which does NOT require daily medications nor impact his quality of life. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is ONLY passed through deep bite wounds between cats and cannot be passed to other animal species or humans. FIV kitties can live with, share food bowls, litter boxes, groom and wrestle with non FIV housemates with no risk of transmission.Rusty is an adult male who is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccination and test FIV positive and FELV negative. Due to being FIV+ he qualifies for our special needs adoption rate. Story
Valor is one of our longest kitty residents and has spent most of his life with us. He came with three kitty siblings, all of whom have long since gone to their homes. Valor can be described as cautious and independent. People have not quite earned his trust. However, Valor hasn't met a wand toy he can resist and our volunteers can sneak some pets in with the help of baby food or squeeze up treats. Valor has come a long way but still needs a family that appreciates his independent spirit. Valor would love a kitty companion or two in his new home. Valor is estimated 2 years old, UTD on vaccinations, neutered, FIV/FELV NEGATIVE and micro chipped. Story
Dilly is currently in one of our foster homes - while she initially needed to know what a safe home feels like, Dilly's got it down and now just needs a forever family. She loves family life and has really warmed up to her foster pal, Lola. Dilly is one cool cat. Spry and rambunctious. She likes to find her rhythm and routine to the day and will let you know how you can accommodate that. Playful, affectionate, attentive. Loves scratch boards, catnip, chasing toys, yarn, and treats. Likes to sleep nearby and will sometimes come sleep next to you, but likes to have a private getaway enclave for when she just needs some alone time. Both have really taken a liking to each other and we strongly feel they are ready for their forever home together!Dilly is about 7 years old, up to date medically, has no known medical needs and is spayed and vaccinated. Sprinkles was found in a back yard at 7 weeks and was very scared. We have worked with him a few weeks and he has become a lovebug. He is nervous when he meets a new person but once you are holding him he snuggles right in and even tries to suckle your neck! Talk about ticklish ! The purring is so loud. He will need a loving patient person to give him a few more weeks of quiet calm love time. He will be a great loyal companion. Mint was trapped outside with his siblings and made some socialization progress in foster care. Mint is taking his own pace in making friends with us but with the help of his kitty friends he has started to become more comfortable and curious! With continued socialization, we know Mint could blossom into a spoiled pet. Mint is a young adult, neutered, UTD on vaccinations, FIV/FELV NEGATIVE and microchipped.
