JANICE & MARCEL ARE IN THEIR FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE THEY ARE ADOPTED! Janice and Marcel are very sweet Tuxedo kitties who like to chat with you.  They are both pretty vocal around dinner time, but they are very cute meows. Story
Where are all my tabby lovers??? Gus is just a big, tabby teddy bear. He is cuddly, curious, and ready to be your best bud! He follows you wherever you go. He was bumming food off passersby in a Publix parking lot for months before being rescued! Now, he never misses a meal and will remind you if you are even two minutes late with his dinner! He also loves to play with his toy mouse or anything he can chase. He fancies himself a master hunter. He is adept at opening cabinets and helping himself to any yum yums he can find. 😝 Gus is affectionate, easy-going, and would do well in just about any environment - including with other cats, kids, or dogs (if properly introduced). He is fostered in Huntsville, AL and is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to make himself at home in YOUR home. If you think you have the perfect place for Gus, submit an application at https://forrescue.net/cat-application/. He has been waiting patiently to meet his people! See a short video of Gus at https://youtu.be/5I13HRJ7rVU?si=wYeuo5-4FuPLy4Az

Lily came to Animals For Life ,shy, skittish and with little human contact. She is  8 y.o  and is currently being fostered and loves playing, being pet and brushed and will remind you by gently tapping you with her paw. Lily will need to go to a quiet home with a family that will give her the time she needs to get comfortable and adjust to her new surroundings. Although still a bit skittish, Lily has tons of love to give. NOTE: A portion of the adoption fee for Zizi is generously being sponsored by an anonymous donor. She can be yours at a reduced fee of $200 (pending the standard adoption approval process). Zizi is a gorgeous girl with unique calico and tabby markings. She was a young mother and now that her kittens are grown, she deserves to be spoiled! While she may seem shy at first, she is quick to trust. She loves to have her chin and neck rubbed. She's a mellow girl with lots of love to give.   Zizi is friendly with other cats, often offering a head rub in passing. She loves to "mother" younger cats. Zizi was born around January 12, 2021. She  is currently being fostered in Naugatuck and would love to meet you! She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*  All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.  Application for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/  Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs. Story
Here’s Herbie, my beautiful, smart 3 year old cat. I adopted him two and a half years ago from a shelter in New Fairfield. He loves to snuggle. He and I have spent lots of time together with him on my chest or on my legs, purring away. He waits for me at the door when I go out. Herbie loves food and I have been able to teach him a couple of tricks using the clicker method and rewarding him with treats. He needs lots of attention. He likes to play; for example, to chase down plastic spring-y toys. But doesn’t like anyone to touch his feet and he hates being in the car. Although most of the time he is a loving, lovable pet, Herbie bites, which is why I’m sadly giving him up.
