She is incredibly affectionate, adorably drooly (thanks to a bit of dental disease), and delightfully chatty—she’ll keep you company and always remind you when it’s dinner time. She has a goofy nasal-sounding purr due to her unique breathing, but it’s totally normal and just adds to her charm. Hootie is a friendly, funny lanky guy who loves to play--hard. He's very athletic and the red dot doesn't stand a chance against him. He's pretty shy at first but warms up quickly. He's a "kitty parkour" master, jumping and swinging from his cat tree and perches, especially during a bout of the zoomies. He enjoys being eye level with you. He likes to shrink away, flatten himself out and army crawl when you give him pets. He seems to like the attention, and it's just an odd quirk. You can actually "pet" him with your voice and have him falling over and rolling around on his back. He does not want to be held, but will tolerate a few seconds of it with some vigorous head scratches. Hootie unfortunately has stomatitis. He will need a special home that can keep an eye on his gum health and know when he needs to see a vet for his comfort. Following 6 extractions in May 2025, his dental health is much improved. We are currently trying Maxi Guard Dental Gel to keep the inflammation in his gums minimized. Hootie would do best with no kids or older kids and may befriend a docile dog, though he's never been around one before.. He needs to go to a home with another cat. Pawzy is a gentle little survivor who’s ready to trade the chaos of the streets for the comfort of a loving, calm home. Lyra, is the loving mama to our solar system kitties, though she's just a kitten herself at only a year old! Lyra seems to have spent a lot of time as an outdoor cat and has top notch hunter skills. However, now Lyra is ready to settle down from the exciting life of the outdoors and adventures in motherhood to a new, calm, loving home. Lyra loves pets and attention, but isn’t quite a lap cat yet. Lyra has been a wonderful mother to her own kittens as well as her six year old human foster sibling. This distinguished gentleman of a cat is equal parts snugglebug, lap-warmer, and charming curmudgeon. Much like his famous namesake, Wilford Brimley (Brim) comes with a deep, soothing purr that could probably sell you oatmeal or read you a bedtime story. The moment you touch him—or better yet, bring him food—he rumbles like a bass note. Wilford Brimley the cat is an absolute people’s cat. He loves to be brushed, petted, cuddled, and adored by anyone willing to give him attention (kids included!). He takes his insulin shots like a champ—seriously, you won’t even see him flinch—and thanks to his care, his “diabeetus” is well-managed these days.That said, he’s a chow hound who can’t be trusted with an open buffet. He’ll eat anything in sight faster than you can say “Quaker Oats”, so he needs a family who can help him stick to his special diet. He sheds a bit and needs regular brushing (which he enjoys anyway). Sarabi is a medium sized tri-colored domestic short haired cat, around 3 years old. She is a total sweetheart! She loves attention and lives for pets and scritches. Sarabi is quiet and gentle. She loves to play with toys and explore her surroundings. Don't let her calm demeanor fool you, however--Sarabi has an ornery streak and has been known to dash out of doors in the blink of an eye! Sarabi is a healthy eater that always comes when called at dinner time. She is an avid litterbox pro and exudes main character energy. Sherlock is approximately 8 years old, or a little more. He does take prescription dry food (Royal Canon, Hydrolyzed Protein), or he throws up... Sherlock does well with small children for the most part (we have two), but is not afraid to warn them that they have gone too far. Truly, he was born to roam the great outdoors and hunt! He has been an indoor cat for most of his life but we desperately want him to be adopted by someone who has some property and is willing to let him roam and be free. He was happiest when he could go outside, but we are not in a situation where he can do that currently, and won't be for a long time (if ever). His personality is feisty, but affectionate. He is not a lap cat, but he wants to be near his people. He has so much personality! Sherlock is potentially part Bengal cat, due to his personality, growly meow, size, and markings.
