Story
I was abandoned, i thought it would never happen to me, but it did! My owners moved and left me behind. The ACO was called and found me hiding in a closet. It took me some time to feel safe. I am sweet with a beautiful black coat. And the brightest of amber . At my vet visit, I was estimated to be 4 years old. It is unknown how I would be with other pets or children. A quiet adult home would be best for me. I have a special adoption fee. For information about me and/or the adoption process, email ds4paws@hotmail.com or call Rob at the shelter 508 822 1463. An approved adoption application is required to bring me home.

Story
Loki is a 1.5 years old neutered DSH. He is very affectionate and curious and will *make* you love him. He gets along with other cats and dogs, though I’ve never seen him interact with children. I’ve never seen him show aggression - even when clipping his claws.

Story
Earl is an almost 12-year-old cat with an adorable pink nose. While he could likely live with other cats, his compatibility with dogs is unknown as he hasn't been exposed to them. Earl enjoys pats but prefers not to be held. He is an independent cat and is not afraid of strangers. Earl has a cardiac condition that requires medication, which he takes easily in his food twice a day. Despite his condition, he acts like a kitten! He needs annual cardiac exams to ensure his heart remains strong. Earl is seeking a forever home with an owner ready to take on this challenge, as he is worth every bit of care he needs. Earl would be fine with children and is up to date on all his shots. All his medical records are available. Ensuring Earl lives a healthy retirement is the primary goal, and with the proper care, he will make a wonderful companion.July 5, 2024, 5:17 pm

Story
Mira and Basil are two adorable cats available for adoption. They are a bonded pair, which means they must be adopted together. Having come from a hoarding situation, they are understandably shy and wary of humans. However, they are gradually making progress in their foster home. When alone in their foster room, they explore and relax together on the cat tree. Basil, in particular, has started to come out more to play and enjoy some snacks. Watching Mira and Basil cuddle up together is heartwarming, as they share a special bond. Adopting a bonded pair like Mira and Basil can be incredibly rewarding. It can be challenging to introduce cats to each other, but with a bonded pair, you get twice the love and help two best friends stay together. Basil has an adorably goofy face that will surely make you smile and laugh. Mira, while more reserved, clearly loves and protects Basil. Her thoughtful and intelligent eyes, along with her love for treats, make her truly endearing. Basil was recently diagnosed with a grade 3 heart murmur and we took him to a cardiologist for a full workup. No medical intervention is required at this time. Mira and Basil require patience, but the reward of helping cats like them gain confidence is immense. They are making progress every day and deserve a loving forever home where they can continue to thrive together. If you are interested in adopting Mira and Basil, you can complete a non-commitment application on our website: www.baystateanimals.org or cut and paste the application link below: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdIZOY9nMLLFFSLbblBd7C8A_0KBaorWtAvhbGoElNJDII-Jw/viewform?c=0&w=1 We have a $175 adoption fee for each cat ($350 for the pair) that includes; spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccines, feline leukemia test, FIV test if over 6 months of age, microchip, flea treatment and roundworm treatment as needed, additional treatments as deemed necessary. Thank you and if you do not hear from one of our volunteers in a reasonable amount of time please do not hesitate

Story
I was feeding Pepper for more than a month while doing my morning walk in Dubai. He was around 4 months until my sister convinced me to take him and find a home for him. I was so hesitant because I had two other female cats. I couldn't leave him. I took him to the vet and did the necessary vaccination and neutered him. I got so attached to him and I didn't do the effort to find him a home while I knew that he doesn't get along with my cats. My life hasn't been easy and I had to separate them all the time because fights constantly happen. He is very playful and territorial and wants all the attention to him. In the same time very cuddly and touchy. I had to relocate to the US and still couldn't leave him, I brought him and though in a new territory, they might get along but the situation got worse. With a heavy heart I decided that this is not working and I cannot continue living like this. Also my two cats are living in fear and cannot move freely and sometimes peeing on the sofas

MEET SKADOO - Watch his videos!Skadoo is a strikingly handsome tabby boy who has captured our hearts with his `resting grump face` and sensitive personality. When Skadoo went to foster, he perked up when he met the resident cats, but we are not requiring him to go home to another cat. He`s slow to warm up to people, but when he does, it`s worth it to see his frown turn upside down. We have found that Skadoo loves to have his head and cheeks scratched with a back scratcher, so it`s a great way to introduce yourself since Skadoo is wary of hands until he gets very comfortable with us. Skadoo would prefer a home without children as he wants a more chill enviroment. Skadoo is a special kitty who is looking for a patient adopter who can offer him a lot of time to fit into his new home. If that sounds like you, Skadoo would love to meet you!Skadoo is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
