Story
Hello there! I'm Murray, the most charming orange/white tabby boy you'll ever meet! I was rescued from the shelter alongside my brother, Hopper. While I may seem a bit reserved at first, just give me a moment, and you'll witness my heartwarming transformation. I express myself with a delightful melody of purrs and love "chirping" at my foster parents and feline friends. My foster mom affectionately calls me "Purry Murray" because my purr engine revs up instantly when you shower me with pets. Oh, did I mention my fondness for treats? Catch me eagerly waiting in the kitchen at lunchtime, ready to showcase my endearing trick of standing on hind legs and pawing for treats. The coziest spot for me is right by your side - be it on a chair, sofa, or snuggled up in bed. I'm a spirited cat reveling in playtime with toys, my dear brother Hopper, and our fellow foster cats. If I'm not frolicking around, you'll likely find me enjoying a peaceful nap. And rest assured, my litter box manners are impeccable. I thrive in the company of other kitties, so a home with a feline companion would be purr-fect for me. I'm eagerly anticipating finding my forever family. Don't hesitate - fill out that application for me today, and let's embark on a heartwarming journey together **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Hello there! I'm Hopper, a delightful red/orange tabby kitten, and I've got a heartwarming story to share. Rescued from a shelter alongside my brother, Murray, I sport the cutest red/orange birthmark just below my nose. My foster mom affectionately calls me a "purr box" – a simple chat is all it takes to set my purring in motion. You'll often find me perched on the desk, keeping my foster parent company during work. I've taken it upon myself to stand guard at the window, shielding my foster family from the antics of mischievous birds and squirrels. And let's not forget my love for treats – I don't just love them, I demand them, especially come lunchtime. My foster mom has a little routine where I stand on my hind legs and "beg" for treats before indulging in them. Being an energetic fellow, I thoroughly enjoy playtime with toys, my brother Murray, and the other foster kittens. When I'm not in the midst of play or enjoying a meal, you'll find me cozily napping. With my outgoing personality, I quickly warm up to new human friends. While my litter box habits are impeccable, I'm still refining my use of the scratching post. Given my social nature, I'd thrive in a household with another feline companion. I'm eagerly awaiting the day I find my forever family – could that be you? Don't hesitate, fill out an application for me today!Email info@habitat4paws.org for an application. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Molly was found in July of 2022 with her four kittens in the Texas heat. She gave everything she had to those kittens, so she was malnourished and suffering from heat exhaustion. I took the family in and managed to re-home all the kittens. I fell in love with Molly, so I kept her and got her up to date with her shots. She is super sweet and gets along great with my dog, but she has become more aggressive towards my senior cat recently. I am having to re-home her due to this. She would be a GREAT addition to any family as the only cat. She is a super spunky and playful kitty who loves water and back scratches. She is spayed and up to date on all her shots. Please consider adopting this sweet kitty!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My name is Snowflake and I need a savior. I was adopted as a kitten (with my sister) almost 6 years ago. After 5 years my guardians made the difficult decision to return me to the rescue because my siblings and I were no longer getting along. I was scared and confused and sad my humans had sent me away. I spent the first 9 months in two different foster homes where they showed me so much love and attention, and always had a lap for me to lay in. Sadly, due to family allergies, I had to leave my foster home and enter boarding. That's where I remain today. I'm not fond of it here. They are very nice to me, and I have plenty of food in my belly, but I miss being able to run and play and sun myself in the window like I am used to. I was once quite the confident diva, sass and all, but the longer I'm here, the more withdrawn and depressed I become. I miss my humans so much. My perfect savior would be patient with me as I reacclimate back into a quiet, home environment with no small children. Prior to boarding I thought I would be best as an only kitty, but now maybe I could tolerate an older, senior cat if they would be nice to me. I might even enjoy a doggie sibling if they were the chill sort. I'm not sure, I've never been around one. I'm dealing with some allergies right now, but they have me on special food and eye drops and I'm getting much better. Please look at my photos and see what a loving, biscuit making, lap kitty I can be! Did I mention my beautiful, chiseled bone structure? I just need someone to believe in me and give me a chance! Will that person be you?

If you're in search of a feline companion who appreciates solitude and quiet moments, Camille might be the perfect addition to your home. Camille is the epitome of grace and subtlety. Her shy demeanor adds an air of mystery, making her a captivating presence in any room. She prefers the tranquil ambiance of a calm home, making her an ideal companion for those who appreciate peaceful moments. Camille thrives as the solo star in her own story. She would do best in a home where she can be the only pet, allowing her to bask in the undivided attention of her human companions. A one-pet household is the stage where she can truly shine. While not a fan of being petted, Camille loves to be near her family. She'll quietly hang out in the same room, enjoying the company without needing direct physical affection. Her subtle presence adds a touch of tranquility to your living space. Camille has a penchant for high places - the higher, the better! Whether it's a cozy perch or a lofty cat tree, she enjoys surveying her kingdom from above. High spaces provide her with the perfect vantage point to observe the world with her discerning eyes. A cat after every cat owner's heart, Camille is a daytime dreamer. She embraces the art of catnaps and can often be found in the most picturesque sleep poses. Her serene slumber adds an element of peace to the household. Camille, with her shy elegance, is ready to find a forever home where she can be the star of her own serene saga. Story
Greetings, feline aficionados! Allow me to introduce you to the regal Mama Magic, a magnificent tuxedo cat on a quest to find her forever kingdom. This beautiful lady has spent over a year and a half with a rescue, and now it's high time she finds the purr-fect palace to call home. Magic, as her name suggests, is a queen who has gracefully raised her kittens and is now ready to bask in the love and comfort of her forever realm. Her maternal instincts have made her a nurturing and caring feline companion. This tuxedo queen is a master of affection. She adores cuddles and pets, reveling in the warmth of human companionship. While she may occasionally grace your lap with her presence, she mostly enjoys being the center of attention, receiving gentle caresses fit for a queen. Magic has a regal demeanor and appreciates having her space respected. She tolerates other pets as long as they understand the importance of giving her the royal treatment. A queen needs her space, after all! Weighing in at 14 Ibs, Mama Magic is on a weight management diet fit for a queen. She loves treats, but her refined palate is on a controlled indulgence plan. Her future kingdom should be ready to support her on her journey to maintaining a healthy weight. After her tenure in the rescue, Magic is ready to grace a loving home with her presence. If you're seeking a mild-mannered, cuddle-loving feline companion with a touch of regality, look no further. Open your heart and home to Magic, and let her bring a touch of elegance and warmth to your life. The throne is set, and Magic is ready to reign over her forever kingdom. Are you ready to welcome this royal tuxedo into your heart?

Do you know Birdie's restaurant in Deep Ellum? That is where I was found as just a newborn. Not sure how I got there but sure glad these wonderful rescue people saved me. Even though I was young, tiny and malnourished, I have thrived with all the love and care. Just look at me now, with this beautiful black fluffy coat! Like a black jaguar! I love to play, a little rambunctious at times, and love to chase bugs. My absolute favorites are spring toys, high places and playing with my other foster kitties. I sure would love a home I could call my own. Having another kitty to play with, would be wonderful, but I am also pretty good at entertaining myself. Look forward to meeting you real soon, forever family!

Chaz is a beautiful 9 month old baby who is still learning what it means to part of a family. He was found as a feral and is sill somewhat considered that way, except he is coming around to wanting love in his own ways and understanding people are not all bad. He is now exploring his foster home and has warmed up to his foster siblings. He still doesn't want any love pats but will talk to you and is starting to feel comfortable enough with people to sleep in the same room as his foster mom. A home with out dogs and maybe one or two kitty siblings may help this fella come around to seeing people are not bad and that its ok to come out of his shell! All he needs is a home and family that is willing to be kind and patient with him so he can really shine!
