Story
Neal is a relaxed and sweet dog who seems to enjoy both playtime and affection from people. From our volunteer observations, he tends to be a bit shy and keeps to himself around other dogs, though he appears comfortable when approached and greeted. Neal has shown gentle corrections when he needs his space, but overall seems to get along well with canine companions in a calm, laid-back way. Contact us about Neal today!

Story
Charley Dean – Young Dutch Shepherd Mix Charley Dean is a young Dutch Shepherd mix with the intelligence, athleticism, and loyalty this breed is known for. He is potty trained, crate trained, and does well with other dogs and even cats. This handsome boy is full of personality and loves toys, treats, and active playtime with his canine friends. He’s highly intelligent, food motivated, and eager to learn, making him a great candidate for continued training and enrichment activities. As a Dutch Shepherd mix, Charley Dean is not just looking for a couch to nap on — he’s looking for a partner. These dogs are known for their strong bonds with their people, trainability, and work ethic. He will thrive in a home that can provide structure, consistency, daily exercise, and mental stimulation. Puzzle toys, obedience work, hiking, running, agility, scent work, or even learning new tricks are all things he would likely excel at and enjoy. Charley Dean is energetic and athletic, but he’s also a very sweet and loving boy who enjoys being close to his people once his energy is burned off. He would do best with an active adopter familiar with working breeds or someone committed to meeting the needs of a smart, driven dog. With the right home and guidance, Charley Dean has all the potential to become an incredibly loyal, devoted, and fun companion. If you’re ready for a meet and greet, kick off the process with an application at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt. Our application is thorough but there are no right or wrong answers - we just want to make sure you and the pet are the perfect match. Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview. Our adoptions include a 2-week trial period with fully refundable adoption fees during that period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer transportation services and have happy families as references. We value transparency, so don’t be afraid to ask us anything.

Story
🐾💙 Meet Scout! 💙🐾 Scout is a 1-year-old Cattle Dog/Dutch Shepherd mix who may be small in size, but he has a BIG heart! 🥰 This sweet boy was saved from the streets of South Texas as a stray and is now safe in foster care, where he’s showing everyone what a wonderful companion he can be. Scout is calm, sweet, and friendly with people. He’s not a big barker and is perfectly happy just hanging out with his humans. He also does well being alone, making him a great option for someone who wants a companion without a dog who needs to be attached to them 24/7. ❤️ And Scout is a smart little guy! He already knows sit and paw and is house trained and crate trained. His foster family is continuing to work with him on giving clear potty cues, and he’s making progress. 🐾 ✨ 1 year old ✨ Cattle Dog/Dutch Shepherd mix ✨ Small & sweet ✨ Calm personality ✨ Friendly with humans ✨ Not a big barker ✨ Does well being alone ✨ Knows sit & paw ✨ House & crate trained ✨ Working on potty cues ✨ Microchipped ✨ Dewormed ✨ Vaccinated ✨ Scheduled for neuter ✨ Available for adoption NOW! Scout went from surviving on the streets of South Texas to having a safe place to call home. Now he just needs the final piece of his rescue story—a forever family. 🏡❤️ Could Scout be your new best friend? 🐶 🐾 Apply to adopt: https://linktr.ee/pawprintsofhoperescue #PawprintsOfHopeRescue #AdoptScout #CattleDogMix #DutchShepherdMix #RescueDog #SouthTexasRescue #AdoptDontShop #ForeverHome #RescueDogs #AdoptMe

Story
Would you like a dog that goes with you on your many adventures, helps you at work, goes for a run with you? You need Grimm. This boy is a senior, but he has plenty of energy! He drives us bonkers because he is smart and gets bored easily and wants to be going, going, going. Grimm started off on crate rest because he was completing heart worm treatment, but he's good to go, now, and needs a JOB! Grimm is smart and responds well to training, but needs more work. He's pretty good on his leash. He's a good boy - he gets really excited about everything. He is learning how to take treats and food politely - he gets very excited about food of any kind. He likes to chew and do pup puzzles. I wouldn't recommend small kiddos with him as he may not understand the need to be more gentle with people who need a gentle dog. He's much more rough and tumble. He's also very protective. If he feels someone is a threat he will bark and start nipping and progress to biting if his warnings are ignored.
