Puzzle toys, obedience work, hiking, running, agility, scent work, or even learning new tricks are all things he would likely excel at and enjoy. Charley Dean is energetic and athletic, but he’s also a very sweet and loving boy who enjoys being close to his people once his energy is burned off. He would do best with an active adopter familiar with working breeds or someone committed to meeting the needs of a smart, driven dog. I got Marvin from the Dallas animal shelter on the kill list, I’m not sure why but I just couldn’t let him be put down, he’s about 3-4 years old and he’s a real sweetheart, I don’t really want to give him up but I don’t have the time for him, he’s pretty shy and I believe he was abused in his past, he’s never bit anybody but he does bark pretty scary at new people, however, he seems to bond to one person and stay that way forever, I haven’t had the time to genuinely train him but I think he’s going to be a hard train. He doesn’t seem to listen very well and it’s very skiddish. He really needs a home that can be around him at least daily and watch after him. Like I said, he’s really sweet! I would definitely suggest training him with a professional trainer.
