Story
We believe Dottie to be a strong Dutch Shepherd mix with those ears! All of her 9 pups inherited those ears too. Her pups have already gone into rescue. Now it's Dottie's turn for a forever home. At first , Dottie was scared of everything and everyone, hiding in the dog house whenever her foster was present. She would even take her food dish into the dog house to hide to eat. She LOVES  other dogs! She now plays, polices the yard and goes in and out of the house. She crates very well and walks on a leash. She Is sweet, still a little shy, but loves to be petted and loved on. She needs slow introductions to new people because of her shyness, never has she shown any aggression. She will do great with a loving, active family. Please give Dottie her chance at a forever family. https://bit.ly/codys_adoption_application. ##2418677##

Story
Meet Saint – A True Survivor Ready for His Forever Home! Saint is a stunning Catahoula/Dutch Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his story. This handsome boy was rescued from a local shelter after being found all alone with a severely broken leg. He was in desperate need of medical care, and thanks to the quick action of Legacy Humane Society and the loving care of his foster family, Saint is now fully recovered and thriving! Now healed and full of life, Saint is ready for his next chapter—with a forever family who will love him as much as he’ll love them. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and fantastic with people and other dogs. (He hasn’t been cat-tested yet, but we’re happy to do so upon request.) Saint is an energetic, athletic pup who lives for playtime. He’s a fan of fetch, tug-of-war, and zoomies, so an active home (and maybe a playful canine sibling) would be perfect for this spirited guy. He plays hard and loves harder! &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Vetting Info: • Neutered • Up to date on vaccinations • Microchipped • Heartworm negative DOB: 4/23/24 &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Weight: 45 lbs  Adoption Fee: $125 If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal, loving, and playful pup, Saint is waiting for you! Story
Looking for you ride-or-die soulmate-the kind who sticks by your side through every season of life? Kennedy might just be your girl. She&#39s a survivor with a heart of gold. In 2018, Kennedy was rescued from a shelter where she endured Hurricane Harvey in an outdoor cage, facing 140 mph winds. Whatever came before that storm, she&#39s never let it define her. Kennedy is resilient, wise, and full of love. For the past six years, she&#39s been more than a pet, she&#39s been a steady companion, a hiking partner, a sunset-watching sidekick, and a quiet comfort during hard days. She&#39s snuggled through tears, celebrated joyful moments, and made solo walks feel like shared adventures. Kennedy doesn&#39t just live in your home--she lives in your heart. Kennedy&#39s ideal home is peaceful and loving. She&#39s not a fan of chaos or high-energy dogs, and she&#39s grown less tolerant of small or bouncy pups. She&#39d thrive as your one-and-only or with other big dogs who respect her space and vibe. She is ready for her next chapter, a home where she can be someone&#39s best friend, protector, and partner in quiet joy. If you&#39re looking for a dog who truly sees you, Kennedy is waiting. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Kennedy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.November 26, 2025, 11:46 am

Story
Tycho is a sweet, smart, stubborn boy. Any puzzle toys we've found last him no longer than 5 minutes, and he loves snuggle time on the couch. He's a big homebody, though also territorial towards strangers. We need to rehome him because he simply needs to have more interaction and more training than we can provide anymore, since he's developed some separation anxiety and some defensive bordering on aggressive behaviors because he just can't get enough energy out in a day. We're looking for a home that will be able to prioritize his activity levels and work on training with him since he really does want to be loved, he just doesn't trust easy. He is very particular about a lot of things, but also relatively well trained. We are more than willing to work with any interested parties to teach them all about him and his quirks, as well as make a slow, non-anxiety inducing transition to a new home.

Story
Mochi is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing approximately 80 pounds of loyalty, affection, and thoughtful charm. He’s a wonderful balance of active adventure buddy and relaxed couch companion, happy to join you for a walk, hike, or outing and just as content settling in at home afterward.   Mochi has a sweet, steady temperament and truly loves people. He bonds deeply with his humans and thrives on connection, attention, and shared routines. He does well with kids and enjoys being part of a household where he can feel included and valued.   He has completed professional board-and-train, where he learned important household manners and structure. One of his biggest accomplishments has been learning to feel calm and secure in a crate, which he now views as a safe and comfortable space. This foundation helps him transition smoothly into home life and makes him an easier companion to live with.   Mochi is fully house-trained and well-mannered in the home. He is eager to please, enjoys having a job or task to focus on, and responds well to clear expectations and consistency. His intelligence and desire to work with his person make him both rewarding and fun to train and live with.   His story began when he was found living on an uncleared lot in Old East Dallas. Thanks to the care and commitment of his foster family, Mochi has made a full transformation from a street dog into a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys the comforts of home life.   One of Mochi’s endearing quirks is his love for string cheese, which earned him the nickname “Mocheezy.”   Important to know: Mochi would do best in a single-pet home. He prefers space from other dogs when out and about, and can be strong on leash if he notices them. Mochi is happiest when he can focus on his person and form a close, one-on-one bond.   If you’re looking for a devoted companion who is affectionate, intelligent, and ready to be a true partner in life, Mochi is eager to find his forever home. Age: 2 years Weight: 82 lbs Good with dogs: Prefers to be the only dog Good with cats: No Good with kids: Yes Activity level: Active Vocal level: Low Training: Professionally Trained January 31, 2026, 11:09 pm

Story
Buster may be the perfect dog to step into your waiting household. At nearly two years old, he has learned all his basic skills from sleeping in his crate to taking care of business. Listening and knowing when to â&#194&#128&#194&#156leave itâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 and how to shake are part of his best qualities. Part of a full household, Buster might enjoy the attention of a small household but has spent time with other pups in his litter. Once he spends time with his new family, Buster's energy level will settle into his new playtime routine. To get started, chewing on a bone will always be a favorite pastime. He still needs a few final checks with his vet before moving to his forever home. Buster will definitely enjoy getting quality cuddle time and having a warm bed, a loving family, and a happy home of his own. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
