Story
HI -I'M NOMI! I'm a 5-1/2-year-old beautiful and sweet Dutch Shepherd-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. My name means "beautiful" and "delightful" and it is so fitting, because I have a gorgeous brindle coat and an endearing face. I was rescued from a Los Angeles-area shelter, and now have been waiting patiently for someone to notice me - for about two years! I am gentle with people, and am friendly with most dogs. I would probably thrive as an only dog where I could get all of the attention, or hang out with a submissive male. I love to be with people and I love to shake a paw! I weigh 68 pounds. Can you foster or adopt me? I really want a home. i'm currently in California, but can be transported to you in Washington for no extra charge beyond the adoption fee. Please email for an application.

Story
Welcome Kai to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Kai is a very sweet pup. She weighs about 28 pounds and should stay medium sized. She is good on a leash, good with other dogs. She is mostly with her sister in her foster home. She uses a doggy door and is good on leash and in a car. She would be best with someone that is active and outdoorsy. She would be fine as an only dog or would be good with another dog. She will be a fun one to train. She has good eye contact and attention to who is speaking with her. She has one upright ear and one that is not. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She would be a great family companion and could go with children. We like children to be 8 or older. Please be patient when you put in your application. Adoption fee for Kia is $400 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed mix. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Story
A graceful, confident girl with a beautiful shepherd’s coat and an even more beautiful heart.Emmie is a 7-year-old sweetheart with luxurious, longer shepherd-style fur that makes her look like she walked right out of a storybook. She enjoys a predictable routine and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing what to expect.Emmie has lived with other dogs before and is polite and respectful, but she’ll still do best with slow, thoughtful introductions to any new canine companions. With a patient adopter, she’ll fit into her new home with ease.If you’re looking for a mature, loyal, quietly confident companion, Emmie may be your perfect match. Story
A gentle, snowy-soft sweetheart looking for his forever home.Snowdrift is a sweet, slightly shy boy with a heart as warm as a winter fireplace. Once he feels comfortable, his personality shines—soft, affectionate, and eager to please. He already knows how to sit and is always ready to show off his manners, especially if you have any kind of food or treats (his absolute favorite thing in the world!).Snowdrift has lived with other dogs before and did well, but because he’s a sensitive soul, he’ll need slow, positive introductions to any new canine companions. With the right match and a patient human, he’ll settle in beautifully. If you’re looking for a dog who’s gentle, loving, and full of quiet charm, Snowdrift might be your perfect winter companion. He can’t wait to meet you and start the next chapter of his story.Ready to fall for Snowdrift? He’s ready to fall for you, too.The dog adoption fee is $90. Story
Meet Mistlebro, the 74-pound, long-haired shepherd mix who looks like he walked straight off a winter runway and into your holiday season. At just 2 years old, he’s serving festive high fashion with every swish of his dramatic fluff—think “Vogue: North Pole Edition.” His coat? Luxurious. His brows? Oscar-winning. His overall vibe? A very exclusive blend of cozy chalet + moody December heartthrob. And yes, he absolutely knows how good he looks. The camera does love him. But beneath all that model-esque mystery is a total softie. Mistlebro is sensitive in the sweetest way, carefully studying you with those expressive brows before deciding, “Yeah… you`re Grade A good peoples.” Once you’re approved by the Bro himself, you get access to his VIP lounge of cuddles—seasonal, limited release, extremely premium. He’s the kind of guy who pretends he’s aloof until the exact moment he melts into your lap like a mug of hot cocoa that’s had a long day. Bring home the fluffiest gift this season! The dog adoption fee is $90.
