Story
Meet Zeus⚡ * Toward People: Can be a little shy at first. However, once he warms up to people and the environment, he becomes kind and gentle even if someone lifts or touches him unexpectedly. Appreciates human warmth and prefers to lie against or be touched by people. * Toward Dogs: Is getting along well with other doggy friends at Adogs Center! Sometimes acts a little aggressively leading to possible fights when he gets to roused up during play with other dogs. Needs to be carefully watched when he plays with other dogs. * Separation Anxiety: It is unknown due to Zeus living at the Center with other dogs. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty at the Center. * Hygiene: Enjoys being brushed but is scared of having his nails trimmed. There should be frequent walks to allow the toenail to be trimmed naturally. * Walks: Slightly scared of a leash and needs to take time in wearing a leash. However, once outside, he does not pull it and walks well in whatever direction a walker pleases. Fears the sounds of cars and motorcycle by the street. * Car sick: Has no carsickness. Has no trouble getting up and down the car! 💌Special Note💌 * Is very gentle and will not bite his caretaker in any situation. * As he occasionally gets into confrontations with other dogs, it would be best if he were the only dog. * Because all the dogs poop in the same area at the Center, Zeus has a habit scatophagy. Any excrement should be cleaned right away. (Scatophagy can be remedied quickly with a training at home.) * Missing his left ear due to a birth defect, but Zeus has no problem with hearing!

Story
**He is currently in Seattle** Mukgoo is about 5 years old. He was found near an army base in Korea and immigrated to America around the age of 1 on President’s Day of 2020. He is an incredibly smart and lovable dog. He is kind and loves people (loves dogs and people). He will eat almost anything (except veggies). He can be a jumper when he gets very excited. He prefers households with another dog and a big yard to run around in but it’s not a non-negotiable. He has always adjusted well to whatever the circumstance. Overall, he’s a good dog and he’s got a lot of love to give. I’m having to give him up due to being unable to raise him in my current life stage. In no way, this is due to any bad behaviors or anything. He’s a really kind-hearted and sweet dog. Likes - He loves playing fetch (quickest way to his heart), rolling in the grass, puppycinos, ice cream, snow, people, dogs - Historically has liked lamb, fish skin, salmon, bully sticks, dental sticks, sweet potato, etc. In general, he loves to eat~ - Very social and prefers to greet other dogs and people, including dog parks, doggy day cares Dislikes - He dislikes bath but who does - He doesn’t like being alone but can manage a few hours if needed - No longer is a fan of veggies - Fireworks and big noises Things to Watch out for - Throwing up: If you let him freely eat grass, he’ll throw up. When he feels stressed, he can react by throwing up. - He can be independent when he is fixated on things. Just be patient with him and he will come back to focus on you. He is a people pleaser. - He rarely barks. He may bark when other dogs bark but even that is rare. He is more of a whiner. If he needs to let you know something, he will whine. - Not a counter surfer but can be if you let him Commands He knows his basic commands (sit, down, hand, etc.) and is open to learning new ones as well. Potty He is used to peeing and pooing outside. Once you create a regular spot and time for him, it’s clockwork. Otherwise, just be aware when he whines that it may be time to go. - At a high level, he knows “go potty” and “go poo” as a sign to go to the bathroom - He will rarely go pee or poo inside the home. Once in a million tries, a thing like that can happen during the night but he’s really sorry when he does. Leash He has never been fully off-leash, only in areas that condone it (home, backyard, dog park, etc.). He is not one to go off-leash and run away. He’ll run around and try to have you play with him. Keep him on a short leash if you need to focus on walking as he can veer away due to his interest in sniffing. Once on a short leash, he’ll understand and walk along. However, give him time to sniff as he is very curious with smells. Sleep He can sleep together or on his own if you’re in a different room or floor. He is also loves to cuddle up as well. When there’s fireworks, it’s recommended you sleep where he sees you because he’s afraid of the loud sounds. Food He is on one meal a day. If you give him two meals a day, he may not eat the first meal. Snacks though he loves. He knows how to sit and wait for food. He is currently on Costco’s salmon and sweet potato meal.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Juno! This beautiful boy is ready to find his forever home. He is a 3-year-old, 55 lb Shepherd mix. Juno will need an active family, he would make a great hiking partner. He walks well on leash and will need a family that can continue working on obedience with him. He is not a city dog and will need a home outside the city with a fenced yard to run and play. No apartments. Juno is neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
Animal Profile: Hedwig is a 6 month old (DOB 12/16/23) Dutch Shepherd Malinois mix (DNA tested) female who was brought to Fresno Humane along with her littermates, who have been adopted. She was left behind and placed on bite quarantine for accidentally biting a volunteer who was playing with her with a waterhose (which is the most exciting thing ever to Hedwig). She is not aggressive but she is a typical high drive puppy and will need a breed savvy adopter to be her best self. We will share more about her as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Stay tuned for details. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Hedwig was surrendered to Fresno Humane along with her littermates on 5/16/2024 and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts, arriving to foster care on June 30, 2024. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.July 26, 2024, 1:04 pm

Story
She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Gorgeous Greta is a 2 yr old German Shepherd mix girl who is good with dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. Greta is highly intelligent, and extremely affectionate big baby, who is also very obedient, housebroken, and easily trainable. She loves car rides and is very smart passenger. Greta loves humans and will snuggle with them at any given chance. She lives with 11 dogs and 4 cats, and does well with both. Her foster parents love her and think she will make an amazing companion. Greta rode out Hurricane Beryl like a champ, with no anxiety. She loves bellyrubs, and cuddles. She has zoomies every now and then, because she gets so happy when her foster parents come home from work. She is still very young, and can sometimes be bossy around her foster siblings, but shepherd girls are usually quite alpha. German shepherd experience is mandatory to adopt our GSDs. Greta is 2 yo, currently weighs 72 lbs, fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped. and heartworm negative. She is kept on heartworm and flea preventative. She is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to many states and even Canada. Story
*currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort betweent Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Upon arrival to the group, she was very reserved, uninterested in people and was more likely to growl or snap in your direction with things she was uncomfortable with. After spending time with behaviorists it was determined that she was most likely an outside dog that did not get proper attention or exercise. She also was abused in some manner as things such as brooms, vacuums, and raising sticks/newspapers resulted in fearful behaviors. Its no wonder she was in a state of survival and distrust with humans. Thankfully after spending time getting consistent exercise, positive reinforcement discipline and affection, she has blossomed into a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now,( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! Her previous owners clearly left her unsocialized and to her own devices. This has resulted in high energy when around other dogs and an inability to socialize currently. So we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for us to feel confident about her being in a home with other dogs. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs, but hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in socialization at present. We also believe she is much more focused without competition. This also applies to cats as she does has some prey drive, as is not unexpected in such breeds. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependant on services used. For more information on Mocha, please contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com, or to apply for adoption please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/41173109602142
