Story
Hello. My name is Bond, Chica Bond. When I saw my photos on the website, I decided to take charge of my description, because frankly, I have nothing to do with what they wrote there. I'm not a dog, I'm a secret agent. I don't understand why it doesn't say so anywhere.I'm going to protect you from everything, because I have the necessary intelligence, love, and energy, in large quantities. That includes: mice, lizards, cockroaches, tarantulas, and if necessary, any impertinent human out there. If a cat or a dog in the street were to attack you, I'd protect you too, because I don't really like them much, although I do love my canine colleagues at the secret agent academy. Confidential agent files, additional surveillance photos, and video evidence can be viewed here:https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/chica-2022066dAmong my more specialized skills, I know how to open doors, in case you get stuck. I'm not asking for much in terms of salary: a few squeaky toys, a ball or two to chase now and then, and some chicken-foot treats would be fine. Will you hire me?This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
LASSIE: The Romantic HuntressLassie is a spicy mix, perfect for adventurous souls. She'll give you the eye and roll onto her back for cuddles one minute, and then unleash her daring side and strike fear into the hearts of unsuspecting stuffed animals the next. She's day and night, sweet and savory, a Jane Austen character and an Avenger all rolled into one. More evidence of Lassie’s charm, bravery, and dramatic double life can be found here: https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/lassie-2023076d/To call her a Swiss Army knife is an understatement. We don't understand why she's been on the program for so long, given her ability to charm you while simultaneously wiping out any rodent or cockroach infestation you might have in your home. Lassie is both friendly and fierce, loving and a hunter, yin and yang. The perfect balance.Just don't ask the stuffed animals for their opinion. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Juno! Juno is a 6-year-old, 65lb Shepherd mix with a stunning brindle coat, soulful eyes, and the biggest heart. Rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, Juno moved into foster care a couple months ago where he's been absolutely thriving! He loves playing with his canine foster sister and riding in the car with his head out the window. Juno settles quickly in a kennel and is actively working on his obedience skills, and is now fully house-trained. Juno is deeply devoted to his people and happiest by their side, whether on a hike, a walk, or a trip around town. He's smart, eager to please, and thrives with structure and routine. Because of his size, strength, and enthusiasm, Juno would do best in an adult-only home with a securely fenced yard. He enjoys other dogs with proper introductions, particularly larger female dogs, but could also be happy as an only dog. No cats, please. Juno is the kind of dog who gives his whole heart to you. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion, adventure partner, and best friend! Juno is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Leggs is a resilient 32 pound, 1 year old pup working hard to become part of the world around him. While he’s naturally timid because he was feral the first three months of his life, he’s been bravely approaching new challenges and turned into the most amazing dog at home. Leggs is very intelligent and sensitive. He’s a bit cuddler and loves wrapping himself up in a blanket and hunkering down with his soft toys. He’s fantastic on a leash and incredibly gentle with myself, my children, and other dogs (including my super senior). He is crate trained, goes to the door when he needs to go potty, leash trained, and doing well on basic obedience and threshold training. He’s done well on trips to the park, long-leash walking on nature trails, and trips to pet-friendly stores such as Petco. His perfect home would be one that understands his initial need to decompress. After that, you can expect the most loyal and intuitive companion. He is not a fan of cats so no kitties please. Leggs is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. You can apply directly for Leggs by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-835

Willow is an awesome dog and great family protector. Unfortunately due to ongoing family health issues and military service we need to find her a new home where she can thrive and get out her energy. We got her from a farm so she is very driven to have a purpose and be trained the way she deserves.

Story
Meet Jack! He is a gentle, playful, quiet guy who loves attention and would love to snuggle with you. He is also very athletically built and could easily participate in any activities on your agenda. He loves meeting new people and pups. He lived with cats at his first foster home. I loaded him up in the cab of my truck when I picked him up from the eastern Washington transport and he rode home with no problems. He learned how to use the dog door by watching others and is using it to go potty. He will need leash training but i think he will catch on fast. He has had all of his shots and been neutered. Story
**Petal is currently being fostered in HOUSTON TX but is available for adoption out of state via rescue transport, no added fees. All adopters are offered video chat to meet the dogs face to face PRIOR to committing to adoption. We accept returns on all of our animals at little to no cost depending on your location** Petal is a sweet, gentle young dog whose confidence has grown tremendously since coming into foster care. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she is affectionate and loves neck scratches. She knows basic commands, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys spending time with both people and other dogs. One of her favorite things is being around puppies. She has been wonderful with the foster puppies in my care and seems to genuinely enjoy their companionship and playful energy. Before I took her in, she had been living outside in the neighborhood. I don't know how she does with cats, but I never observed her chasing them while she was outside. As she's settled into foster care, she's become more confident and has recently found her voice a little, but she's generally a calm dog. She's somewhat independent while still enjoying being part of the family and participating in whatever everyone else is doing. Although she's grown some since I first took her in, she hasn't grown as much as I would have expected for a typical German Shepherd mix and appears likely to remain a medium-sized dog. Petal would do well with someone who will continue building her confidence while appreciating her gentle nature. She has been a joy to foster and deserves a loving home where she can continue to thrive. The last picture shows where she was found on the streets.

Story
Say Hello to Zyra … her name is as unique as she is. In Arabic, it means brightness. In Spanish, it means gift of god.In Hindu, it means bring good change. And in Hebrew, it means new beginnings. This dear girl is true to all of these. Which is remarkable given her background. For years, Zyra’s world was a patch of dirt in a backyard. No toys. No walks. No comfort. Just forced puppy breeding, loneliness, and a life of being used. But here’s the thing about Zyra -- they never broke her spirit. She still believes in people. She still lights up when you walk into the room. She still wants to play and curl up next to you, pressing in tight. Now six years old, Zyra is all heart. A German Shepherd through and through—smart, loyal, and devoted. What she is not is a dog-park social butterfly or a busy-sidewalk type of girl. Her soul is built for depth, not crowds.Zyra’s dream home is one with shepherd experience, no other pets, fencing and an understanding of what it means when a dog wants to be your whole world and can give that loyalty in return. She doesn’t want much … just a place where she can be safe, loved, and finally …FINALLY… the center of someone’s life and love. She’s waited long enough. Questions? Story
Ranger was adopted from a shelter in Stanwood and left in my care by a previous partner who left town. Needs a big space to run in and is good with kids and humans but does not do well with other dogs. This may be attainable with proper training and care. Otherwise he’s a sweet dog that needs a home that understands the needs of German shepherds. Knows all basic commands. He needs to eat grain free food.
