FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Juno! Juno is a 5-year-old, 60 lb Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. With his stunning brindle coat and soulful eyes, Juno may look a little intimidating at first glance ~ but he’s truly a sweet, loving, and loyal boy once you get to know him! Juno bonds deeply with his people and loves being out and about with his handler. He would make an excellent adventure companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. He’s affectionate, eager to be close to his person, and may even jump up for an enthusiastic “hug” when he’s excited to see you. Once Juno chooses his person, he’s all in. He’s a smart, eager-to-please dog who thrives with structure and consistency. Juno already knows sit, down, and his adorable “happy spin” at mealtime, and he would do great in a home that wants to continue working on training while providing both mental and physical outlets. Juno walks well on leash and enjoys getting out for walks and exploring. He would do best in a standalone home with a fully fenced yard (no apartments or condos) where he has space to decompress and move freely. When it comes to other dogs, Juno can do well with canine companions, especially with slow, thoughtful introductions. He has made dog friends and enjoys playing, particularly with larger female dogs, which tend to be his favorite match. He could also be happy as an only dog.
