Bear is an approximately 1 yr old Chihuahua mix. Bear found himself without a place to live when his owner had to move into a homeless shelter. He currently lives in a foster home with older children and would do best in a home with older children rather than very young children. He’s quite friendly and rather playful, he gets along with other dogs although can be a little bossy like many small dogs and is fine with the cats in his current foster home. He is crate trained and is perfecting his housetraining skills. Bear is vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, neutered and microchipped. A family friend found Penny wandering around in the cold roughly 7 years ago. She was healthy and clearly had not been a stray for long. We took her in and the Vet estimated at the time that she was between 1 and 2 years of age at that time. Since then she has been a loving member of our home. Unfortunately, our one year old has had constant allergies since she was a few months old. Her DR's believe that the pet dander has played a role in her allergies. Penny Lane is one of the sweetest dogs that I have ever met. If she can spend the entire day snuggled up in the lap, or next to, someone, she will. She loves human contact. She is protective of her people. She has never bitten anyone, but she acts tough when strangers get near her people and her home. Two minutes later and she is licking the guest and trying to be held by them. Penny is a sweetheart that has always been great around other dogs and our kids. We hate to lose her, but we hope that we can find her a good home

When I came into the county shelter as a stray I was paralyzed with fear. Of course, I'm a 7.5lb Chihuahua and everyone was a giant. I protected myself in the only way I knew by acting mean and I was whisked off the adoption floor into solitary. My foster mom saw me before I was isolated so after my stray hold she came and rescued me. I can be a little frightened when I'm handled roughly by someone new so please be kind to me. I'm working on my potty training. I'm pretty smart so with a little help I know I'll get there. I get along with other dogs, mostly small please. I'm a little cuddle bug so how mean can I be? 2 years old aprox 10-15 lbs new to rescue. Champ lived his life jumping from couch to couch with his young man. He is great with people of all ages. Recenlty Champ's owner had to move to a new home where champ was not welcomed. He is adjusting to his new life. Champ was an only pet. He is doing well with the smaller dogs (30lbs and under) that he met in foster care. He is terrified of some of the larger dogs and has no idea of what to think about the cats. He is just now being crate trained and doing well in a plastic carrier type crate. He is learning how to walk on a leash but would prefer to have a fenced in yard to potty in. Champ is very active, loves to run and play with toys. Bruno is super sweet and his favorite spot is on someones lap. At bedtime, he curls up in his little bed and pulls the covers over himself. He has a stuffed animal, that is bigger than he is, that he drags around with him. At night, he puts the stuffy in bed with him. He is potty-trained and crate trained. He does best with frequent bathroom breaks to prevent indoor accidents. Bruno enjoys walks, but he will go right outside to use the bathroom if someone opens the door for him. He does alert at the door when he wants to go outside. My mother-in-law got Bruno from a breeder when he was a puppy. After her stroke, when Bruno was 8, my mom offered to care for Bruno. After two falls (with broken bones each time) she is no longer able to provide him with the care he needs. I can not take him as my dog doesn't do well with other dogs. He is up-to-date on all shots! Bruno is a real sweetie and is in great health - he would love to snuggle with the people in his new home.
