Story
A 2-year-old, 36-pound mix of Feist and Terrier, Lulu came to us from a hoarding situation. She’s a lovely dog with a sweet personality who, upon first meeting can be shy, but will warm up quickly. She loves being stroked and loved; in fact, she’s very affectionate. We think she’s grateful that we brought her into rescue with us. She’s been treated for heartworm and is ready to go home with you! How about it? Show her what a real home is like! (posted 12/29/25, ME) NO CATS, PLEASE. ' ' Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **June 20, 2026, 2:09 pm

Story
Meet Nelly!  This sweet little girl is searching for her forever home! Nelly is affectionate, incredibly smart, and happiest when she's spending time with her people. She loves the outdoors, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has a gentle, loving personality that makes her an easy companion to adore. With her petite size, she's the perfect cuddle buddy—and after a day of exploring and playing, she'll happily curl up in your lap for some snuggles. Nelly is doing wonderfully with both crate training and house training and is adapting beautifully to the routines of home life. She is eager to please, responds well to positive reinforcement, and has already proven to be a joy to train. As a Feist, Nelly embodies many of the qualities that make this breed such wonderful companions. Feists are known for their cheerful, active, happy-go-lucky personalities, intelligence, and devotion to their families. They are attentive, eager to learn, and highly trainable. While they love outdoor adventures and playtime, they're just as content relaxing close to their favorite humans. Their combination of affection, intelligence, and enthusiasm for life makes them exceptional family dogs. If you're looking for a loving young dog who is ready to be someone's best friend, Nelly may be the perfect match. This adorable cuddle bug will be available June 27, 2026, and is currently being fostered in Wernersville, PA. Sweet Pea is about 8 months old and is a very sweet little girl looking for her forever home. The couple that brought her in said they found her by the hotel where they were staying. She was so very sweet they didn't want anything to happen to her, so they turned her in. She loves her little bed. She has been fully vetted and is up to date on all shots, spayed and microchipped. She is all set to go home to her new family. If you are interested in adopting Sweet Pea, please click on the big black button that says, "Ask about me" and we will send you an application. Story
Meet Herbie! Breed: Feist Mix DOB: 9/13/2025 Sex: Male (neutered) Weight: 20-25 lbs Currently up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations Things To Know about Herbie: • Rescued from Mississippi after a rough start in life — but don't let that fool you, this boy is proof that love and good food can work miracles• As a Feist mix — a breed bred for hunting — Herbie thrives with plenty of mental and physical stimulation and will do best with active owner(s) who can keep that smart brain and busy body engaged• Came into our rescue partner's care underweight and has since blossomed into a happy, healthy pup who gained 7 lbs in just 10 days• Super social and loves every person he's ever met — no strangers here!• A true shadow dog who just wants to be wherever the people and pets are• Will greet you with a whole lot of kisses and his front paws on your lap looking for ear scratches — classic Herbie• Loves wrestling with dog siblings, playing with toys, and a good game of tug — and absolutely lights up at the park, especially if there's water and a stick involved• Cuddly and sweet once he gets his wiggles out• Crate trained — goes into his crate on his own when needed, no fuss• Doing great with housetraining — consistent potty breaks are keeping him right on track• Making great progress on leash and takes verbal corrections well• Excellent recall• True to his hunting breed roots, Herbie is alert to sounds and movement and will bark — but is doing a great job keeping it to a minimum with redirection and verbal cues• Dog friendly — does great in a multi-dog home with a confident, playful pal who can match his enthusiasm; his excitement around other dogs is pure joy and all love• Would do best with a dog-savvy cat; due to his prey drive, not recommended for homes with small animals• Looking for a loving and committed forever home to provide him with the care and love he deserves Learn more and apply to adopt at TLCrescuePA.org/adopt Interested in fostering? Story
Mitsy has become a longer term resident with us and we aren't sure why or how?!? This petite little girl is so cute and such a love bug we don't get it. Mitsy has been in a foster home with us since February! How can this be? Mitsy is beyond ready and reserving of her forever home so don't wait!    Mitsy is around 1.5 years old and a small and compact 30 lbs. She is such a darling and is full of love, cuddles and snuggles. She is dog friendly but we think with the right family could also be an only dog. She can but a bit timid and unsure in new situations so a patient, loving and supportive person or family would be best. She is a playful and silly girl who brings a smile to your face.    Mitsy is crate and house trained. She is excellent in her crate when her foster mom isn't home. She is too interested in cats so no kitties please. Mitsy would be ok in a home with kids 8+. Little kid movement and sounds are too frightening for her. Mitsy loves to zoom in the yard but could also be ok learning to leash walk for exercise. She does potty fine on leash but will need some time to gain confidence with leash walking in busier areas.    Mitsy is so sweet and affectionate and we can't wait for her to find her forever person/people to share this with. She is a world class nap buddy after she has spent time playing. Mitsy occupies herself well with toys, bones and kongs and is a great house guest and co worker while her foster mom works during the day. Don't miss out on this awesome pup!    Email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com to get an application!    (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)
