Story
Name: Lizzie Breed: Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) Age: Adult Size: Small Personality: Sweet, friendly, affectionate, and delightfully opinionated Lizzie is a charming little chiweenie with soulful eyes and a whole lot of personality packed into a small frame. She’s friendly, loves people, and enjoys being near her humans—especially if cuddles or attention are involved. While Lizzie did give motherhood a brief try, she has made it very clear that her true calling is being the baby, not raising them. She’s much happier focusing on herself, enjoying walks, attention, and living that carefree only-dog or spoiled-pet life. Lizzie would thrive in a home where she can be loved, doted on, and appreciated for who she is: a sweet, sassy little dog who knows exactly what she does (and does not) want out of life. If you’re looking for a small dog with a big heart, a gentle nature, and zero interest in parenting duties—Lizzie is ready to clock out and move in. Adoption Fee: $250 Apply here: https://forms.gle/emAhij7FiTcZuvHA6 Currently in AL, but can be transported to New England states for $200.00. Story
Linda is a very sweet, little SATO from Puerto Rico. She is about 12 weeks old and will likely be under 30 pounds as an adult. She has a thick, soft coat and is super snuggly. She will make a great addition to any family! All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Initial contact with us must be made through e-mail. E-mail ARFofMercer@gmail.com directly for an adoption application or with any questions. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.

Hi Guys...I am Bear, actually it used to be Polar Bear, but truthfully, I am not a fan of the cold so I had them drop it here at the rescue when I arrived. lol. So besides the cold let me tell you a little about me. I am a settled adult guy, but I still love to play and have a blast. Warm blankets, soft beds [preferably yours] and someone to snuggle with and call my own are all on the docket for me...I hope. So I will tell ya what...if you are looking for a side-by-side companion that has all those puppy antics behind them, I am your guy. Head on over to the DRBC Adoption Center and let's hook-up! Hope to see ya real soon! Bear is an 8 year old neutered cream colored Chiweenie male who is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative and has been placed on the DRBC long life diet. Story
Mitsy is a fun sized pup who very cute, affectionate, sweet, snugly, playful and silly. This 1 year old girl is a super size at just under 30lbs. She has a little filling out to do but is full grown. Our guess would be that she may be terrier and possibly Chihuahua with some bunny mixed in there too.    Mitsy has been doing really well in her foster home! She gets along very well with other dogs and really enjoys playing chase with them in the backyard. In between zoomie sessions she is snuggled up for a nap or occupying herself with a bone or toy. Mitsy adores people and loves to give and receive affection. She is hoping to be a lap dog in her forever home. She would also really appreciate a fenced yard since zooming and hopping around is her  specialty. We do not know how Mitsy would be around cats.    This sweetie pie has been great in the crate. She is quiet and well behaved when crated overnight and when her foster mom isn't home. Mitsy is housebroken.   Mitsy can be a little skittish with loud noises and sudden movements so we think kids in a home should be 8 years and up. She takes a little bit to be fully trusting of people and other dogs but it doesn't take her too long and it's well worth it. This girl's playful and funny antics will bring a smile to your face and her cuddles are top notch.    If you are interested in Mitsy please email us at almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com.    (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)
