Meet Alabama aka Bama! Bama is STUNNING both inside and out. She is about 7 months old, 30 pounds and full of love, kindness and forgiveness. Bama is as sweet and gentle as they come. If we had a family member looking for a medium sized, young and fun gal, we would not be writing this bio. Bama is probably a Flat-coated Retriever mix. She has a Lassie vibe with a beautiful black fur coat, which is wavy and soft like a Retriever. Bama is crate and leash trained. She is a new foster so we are working on the house training, she’s doing great! Bama is young and playful and has excellent dog manners. She loves other dogs and kids, big time! Bama enjoys walks and will need someone that wants to spend time exercising with her. She isn’t high energy, she’s just young and deserves to be adored in every way possible, which includes a few daily walks. I’m sure she would love hiking and beach walks. Bama is submissive and passive, in general, but she does not lack confidence. She enjoys meeting new people and greets humans with sunshine and friendliness. Bama is the kind of dog that you can take anywhere. She is obviously young, so she will need to continue learning boundaries. We are working on not jumping on people to say hello and focusing on the sit greeting. Bama is smart too, she picks up the vibes quickly.
