Meet Prancer, a 6-week-old Retriever puppy with a shiny black coat accented by beautiful white and silver markings, currently weighing about 10 pounds. He earned his festive name because he can’t help but dance around with excitement whenever he sees you, greeting everyone with pure joy. Prancer has a wonderful puppy personality—adventurous, affectionate, snuggly, playful, confident, gentle, and endlessly curious about the world around him. Prancer is one of seven puppies from a rescued mom, and this sweet litter will be ready to head to their forever homes right before Christmas. Prior to pickup, he will receive his first set of vaccinations, be dewormed, and microchipped. Prancer is located in San Bernardino County, California. The adoption fee is $400. Surrendered by her owner, Kenai is still adjusting to the shelter environment and can be a little nervous at first. With patience and kindness, she begins to relax and show her sweet, trusting nature. She’s a soft-hearted young dog who just needs someone willing to go slow and let her build confidence at her own pace. Kenai walks nicely on leash, is very gentle, and already knows “sit.” She’s smart and eager to learn, making her a great candidate for continued training. She does very well in playgroup with other dogs and enjoys calm, positive social interactions. Prancer COH is an 8 month old neutered male Flat Coated Retriever Mix who came to us as a stray from the City of Hawthorne. This handsome boy enjoys going for walks and exploring the world around him, making him a great companion for an active family. Prancer is friendly and does well with kids, and he’s ready to find a loving home where he can continue to grow, learn, and be someone’s best friend. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Our beautiful girl Shawna was rescued from the Corona Animal Shelter after she and a small Chihuahua were found tied up and abandoned in front of the shelter one morning when staff arrived. Her Chihuahua friend was adopted quickly which left Shawna even more confused and alone. Shelter volunteers who are also PAWS members quickly saw how sweet and calm Shawna is and pulled her to safety. She went immediately into a foster home where she has proved those first impressions to be true. Shawna is a lab mix, approximately 5 years old and 65lbs. Once in foster care it was noticed that she had some trouble getting up from a laying down position and a limp when she walked. After a vet visit, it was discovered that she was born with two deformed hips and a front elbow that prevents her from being able to bend it. She is on prescribed medication and a monthly Librela injection to help her thrive in our care. Other than a little stiffness getting up after lying down she is doing great. In fact her front leg deformation causes her to lay sprawled out like a little black seal sunbathing on the beach! Shawna is in no way disabled. She can climb stairs and go on short walks. She is special because of her birth defect and that just makes her even more loving! Shawna adapted quickly to her foster home. She immediately got along with her three doggie foster sisters. She showed them that she loves belly rubs & loves to be around her humans and other dogs. She is an easy keeper and does not ask for much in return. A couch or bed to crash on, food in her belly and some occasional treats that she will sit pretty for. Shawna will sit politely like a good girl with her foster sisters awaiting her treats but she really thinks that they are all hers! She sleeps through the night; in a crate or perfectly in a doggie bed, as long as she is near her humans. She is potty trained and up to date on all vaccines plus a fecal test. If you are looking for a sweet loving, low maintenance girl, then look no further. Shawna deserves a second chance at life in a loving home. Shawna's adoption fee is $195
