Please contact Perry Meade (perrym@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet puppy ISO forever home!KENT NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!   Come meet Kent and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (1/4) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria, VA (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!     Name:  Kent       Best Guess for Breed: Flat Coat Retriever/Border Collie Mix   Best Guess for Age:  10 weeks as of 12/9/2025         SEX: Male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 13 pounds as of 12/9/2025   Gets Along With:  Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at: DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations:  Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Kent is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Kent! Me and my littermates, Kenneth, Kenny, Kelvin, Kelly, Kevin, & Kem have loved our time in the puppy pile, but we are each ready to pack our bags and find our very own forever home! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I'm a little older, I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me? What My Foster Says About Me: Kent is completely mis-named.  If you named him for his curiosity, he could be Scout.  If you named him for the sounds he makes, he could be Squeak.  If you named him for his smarts, he could be Hugo.   But for now, he’s Kent, who is all of these qualities, plus as cute as can be with his soulful green eyes and three white paws.  Kent’s favorite thing to do is simply be around his people.  He’ll let you know that he’s disappointed when you leave.  He loves to play with his toys and has learned quickly where his bed is.  He’s learning to do his business outside, to “sit” and “come”.  As his foster, he’s not what I consider a high energy puppy.  After play-time, he settles on his bed nicely.  What a gem of a puppy who’s going to grow into a wonderful family member! Puppy Vetting Requirements:   Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.        Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:     The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       . Story
This jumping bean with the amazing eyes is ELI! His sister and him were dumped and taken in by a good Samaritan who contacted us. They came to us starved for attention and love. While high energy he is quick to settle down and is quickly learning basic commands and manners. He loves to be loved and is a snuggle bunny! He is quite bonded with his sister. We would love to see them go together but for the right home would consider separating them.

Story
They say big things come in small packages and that's little Cate! Her brother and her were dumped and taken in by a good Samaritan who contacted us. They came to us starved for attention and love. We believe she was either hit by a car or struck in the head. Her skull is a tad bit misshapen BUT the good news is her head has healed and there is no permanent brain injury. Despite whatever she's been through, this little munchkin is personality galore and the sweetest, cuddliest pup you will ever meet. It does take her a bit to warm up to new people. She loves to be held like she's a toddler or snuggle into your lap. She is quite bonded with her brother. We would love to see them go together but for the right home would consider separating them Ready to make this adorable pup part of your family?
