Artemis is a stunning young Flat-Coated Retriever mix who turns heads everywhere he goes. Story
Pupperoni is a beautiful happy pup that showed up at an apartment complex as a youngster. She has been passed around from apartment to apartment but grew into a 60 pound dog that still needs to do more filling out. The person who keeps her asked Rescue to find her a bigger home with a yard and more exercise than what she was getting out of the small apartments. She is a high energy girl with a lot of fancy moves and does very well on a leash. She could use a little more training, but her breed mix is extremely smart and she would learn very very fast. She would make an excellent running or hiking partner, and do fabulous with agility or obstacle courses. She is very social and loves everybody. She meets and currently lives with some cats. Story
Chubby is a sweet, loyal, and active 9 year old flat-coated retriever. He loves going for walks, runs, playing with squeaky toys, and with other dogs. He gets along with all animals and loves dog parks. Unfortunately, as he has aged, he is increasingly frustrated (growling) with our toddler and we sadly need to rehome him (we are also expecting a newborn in a few weeks). Chubby would be happiest with a single person or a couple without kids under 5. He is extremely loyal, will follow you around the house and be your snuggle buddy at night. He is great on a leash and loves to go on adventures. He is great in the car. Overall amazing dog aside from becoming a grumpy old man with small children. We do not want to continue to stress him out with our kids and do not want to risk anything possibly escalating.

Meet Darling Bobby – a big SMUSH wanting to give you kisses!! **SENIOR** This sweet boy is a gentle soul who wants a home (and people) to call his own.  He LOVES people!  He is a volunteer favorite - all he wants is to give love and kisses to all people - kids included. If you want a well trained dog who can relax in the home and needs a relatively low level of exercise - consider the Bobster!  Bobby is 6 years old and only 60 pounds.  He is housetrained, crate trained, and knows many commands such as “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “wait.”  He has been attending class to learn how to walk better on the leash and ignore distractions - and he has been a star student!   Good boy Bobby enjoys playing in a yard and is an expert at fetch - sometimes with more than one ball at a time - and sometimes he doesn’t want to give them up (check out his video).  He is quite the snuggle bunny and will follow you around the house and patiently wait for you to give him attention.  He also loves to keep you company for car rides and walks in the woods or around a lake where he can sniff all the smells and dream of catching squirrels. PAW is committed to helping Bobby transition smoothly and will support his adopter with training to set him up for success. Sadie is a beautiful and energetic little lady from South Carolina, who loves people! She was recently returned to PAW by no fault of her own, and we are working with her to make sure that she is ready for the next opportunity to settle down in a home. Sadie is still a bit of a puppy, with a desire to walk, sniff, and explore. While she loves adventuires and is good in the car, she doesn't mind stopping along her walks or hikes for pets and snuggles and loves to climb into your lap and smother you with kisses. A high energy girl, Sadie has never met a stranger. She is house trained and crate trained, she knows "sit" and is working on "down." Sadie loves treats, so she is a willing student! Sadie very much loves her walks and she continues to work on her leash skills. She loves to run and would do best in a home with a yard. While Sadie does enjoy socializing with other dogs, she does best with one at a time because she likes to make sure that everyone is playing by the rules and tends to "police" when in group play.  Sadie would love to find a new place to hang her leash and settle into the life that she deserves!
