Story
Hello, my name is Nixxy. You must see my beautiful black shiny coat in person! I am an energetic girl who loves to play with my foster fur siblings but I really love my humans. I prefer to be a lap dog but my foster mom keeps telling me I am too big. She still lets me sit on her lap, though.. I will do best in a home with a yard. I am in a home with both dogs and cats and I do great with both as long as they like to play. My adoption fee is $200. .  It includes all my vaccines, spay/neuter, and microchip. Story
WHAT AN INNOCENT FACE!  Est DOB 12/22/23, weight 55 pounds Hey there, everyone! I’m Milo, and I’m a sweet, happy, playful black Labrador/ German Shepherd mix fella with a splash of white on my nose and on my chest. I’ve got the prick ears of a Shepherd but my solid black coat and lanky build indicate my Lab heritage.  I’m one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet because I love everyone, and of course, everyone loves me back. Could it be because of the always-innocent expression on my face? One of my favorite things to do is fall asleep on top of Foster Mom. True confessions: I snore a bit! I’m smart as a whip, and because I’m very food-motivated, treats have helped me to pick up a few commands very quickly. I have lots of energy, so I love to horse around with the resident dog in my foster home but I also love to go to Doggy Day Care where I get along with everybody! I’m curious about the cats, but I haven’t been allowed to meet them yet. Thank heavens Foster Mom rescued me as a stray who was wandering her neighborhood with no collar, tags, or chip. Now I’m ready to find my forever home, and I can’t wait! Could that be with you? Arrange to meet me, and I promise to cover your face with mushy pupper kisses. To apply online:http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Milo will be this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
Maisie is a very shy, one-year-old Golden Yellow Lab with the sweetest, most gentle soul. She weighs about 45 pounds, is fully vetted and spayed, and is as loving as she is sensitive. She is also very quiet and mellow for a puppy. Maisie was rescued from a very high-kill shelter in Texas and is now safe in foster care in Indiana, where she is slowly learning what it means to feel secure and loved. She wants affection and enjoys being petted, but she needs a little time and patience to feel comfortable getting close to her people. Once she trusts you, her soft and loving personality truly shines. Because of her shy nature, Maisie needs a calm, patient home where she will never be rushed or pressured — just gently supported as she builds confidence at her own pace. Another friendly dog in the home is a must, as Maisie looks to other dogs for comfort, reassurance, and guidance. Having a canine companion helps her feel safe and gives her the confidence she needs to thrive. Maisie can travel to the right home anywhere in the U.S. or even to Canada. She is searching for a loving family who will see her beautiful heart, honor her gentle nature, and give her the time she needs to blossom. If you have a kind heart, a patient home, and a friendly dog waiting for a sister, Maisie may be the perfect addition to your family. 💗🐾 Maisie is currently being fostered in Indiana, where she flew from Texas, and can travel to anywhere in the North East or even Canada to the right home. Yards must be fully and adequately fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept invisible or underground fences. Maisie's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, GPS tracker, Harness, leash and a high quality nylon Martingale collar. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application form via www.savesomesouls.com Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
