Story
Hi! I’m Georgia, a 5 month old Lab/Hound mix being fostered through Ruff Road Revival
My four sisters and I were surrendered to the Greenville, Texas shelter after our mama gave birth to us on the finder’s property. They cared for us the best they could for five months before making the heartbreaking decision to surrender us to the shelter. Thankfully, Ruff Road Revival stepped in, and now I’m looking for my forever family!
My foster mom says I’m the sweetest, most perfect girl around, and I have to admit… she’s probably right. I absolutely LOVE kids. The second I see one, I roll right over for belly rubs because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love belly rubs? I’m gentle, affectionate, and happiest when I’m getting love from my people.
I’m a social butterfly! I adore playing with my foster dog siblings, and I haven’t met a dog that didn’t become my best friend. I’m also cat friendly. I don’t pay those little fluff balls much attention, but if one wanted to snuggle, I’d be perfectly happy to join in.
Toys are my favorite! I love to run, chase, play, and then curl up for cuddles when I’m all worn out. I’m the perfect mix of playful puppy and snuggly companion.
I’m a pretty smart cookie, too! I’m potty trained, know how to use a doggy door, and I’m crate trained. Sometimes my foster mom finds me happily snoozing in my crate on my cozy bed.
I haven’t started going on walks yet because I need one more vaccine before I’m fully protected, but I’ve already worn a leash and did great! I’ll still need some basic puppy manners, but I’m eager to learn and love making my people happy.
One more thing… my foster mom has given me a few nicknames. She calls me Georgie, Georgie Porgie, Little Miss Sunshine… and lately, Skittles. Why Skittles? Well… one day she bought herself a bag of Skittles and accidentally left them on the table. I figured they looked like a pretty tasty snack, so I grabbed the bag and proudly carried it to my crate. She says I handed it right over when she told me candy wasn’t on the menu… although I did give her my very best puppy dog eyes in hopes she’d change her mind. I guess I didn’t want to ruin my dinner anyway!
