Story
Meet Red  Red is a 10-month-old Lab mix with a gentle heart and a whole lot of sweetness waiting just beneath the surface. She can be timid when first meeting new people or adjusting to a new environment, but once she realizes she’s safe, she becomes an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl who loves soaking up attention—especially tummy rubs! Red absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a friendly, confident canine companion who can help show her the ropes and continue building her confidence. She loves playing with her doggy friends and is also a big fan of sticks and plush toys. She’s one smart pup, too! Red learns quickly and already knows sit, down, crate, and paw, plus she has pretty good recall. She isn’t a fan of loud noises, so a family willing to give her a little reassurance when things get noisy would be ideal. Why you’ll love Red: Super sweet and affectionate once comfortable Loves tummy rubs Loves playing with other dogs Would thrive with a confident canine companion Super smart and quick to learn Loves sticks and plush toys Knows several commands Has pretty good recall Crate trained Mostly potty trained Red hasn’t been around cats in her foster home, but she can be cat tested for an interested adopter if needed. She also hasn’t lived with kids, but we think she would likely do great with children who are old enough to understand that she may need them to go slowly and give her a little space while she gets comfortable. Red is still young and continuing to build her confidence and perfect her potty training. With some patience, consistency, and positive experiences, she’s going to absolutely blossom in the right home. If you’re looking for a smart, loving girl who just needs a little time to show you how sweet she really is, Red may be the one.  Apply to adopt Red here:https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/70992/generic Red is located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. We coordinate safe transport and offer video meet-and-greets to ensure it’s the perfect fit. ##2841979##

Story
Hi there! I’m Hondo — a 6-year-old, 85 lb Black Lab mix with a heart as big as my smile.I’m all about the simple joys in life — a comfy bed, a good walk, a squeaky toy to toss around, and relaxing TV time with my people. I’m super friendly and love meeting new folks! I haven’t been around kids in my foster home yet, but I’m such a gentle guy that I’m sure I’d be just fine with them. When it comes to furry friends, I absolutely adore female dogs and do wonderfully with cats. I can be a little selective with male dogs, but once I find my circle, I’m loyal for life. I’m fully potty trained, great on a leash, and such a good boy that I don’t even need a crate — I’m perfectly happy lounging around the house like a pro, but I do fine in the crate too if needed! I have also been a rockstar at adoption events. I do love my food and toys (a guy’s gotta have his favorites!), so I prefer to enjoy those in my own space away from other dogs. Other than that, I’m the definition of easygoing and affectionate — ready to bring love, laughter, and laid-back vibes to my forever home. ##2629248##

Story
Meet Maya  Maya is a 4-month-old Lab mix with a fun-loving personality, a bright little mind, and plenty of affection to give. She’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, with a medium energy level that lets her enjoy a good adventure and then settle down afterward. This girl LOVES to play! Fetch is one of her favorites, and she’s always up for a game of chase or tug-of-war. She’s also a total water girl and will happily splash around whenever she gets the chance. Maya especially loves playing with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine playmate, although she’d be just as happy soaking up all the attention from her people. And Maya definitely loves her people! She’s super friendly, loves belly rubs, and has done wonderfully with kids of all ages. Why you’ll love Maya: Super friendly and affectionate Loves people and belly rubs Great with kids of all ages Loves other dogs Fetch fanatic Loves playing in the water Enjoys chase and tug-of-war Smart and a fast learner Medium energy Crate trained Doing great with potty training Young and adaptable Maya is one smart little puppy! She’s doing fantastic with potty training and has already learned to sit by the door when she needs to go outside. She’s also crate trained and has proven to be a quick learner, so we think she’ll have a lot of fun continuing to learn new things with her forever family. At just 4 months old, Maya is at the perfect age to grow up alongside just about any family. With proper introductions, continued socialization, and positive experiences, she should adapt beautifully to a home with dogs, cats, kids, or all of the above. Whether she’s splashing in the water, chasing after a ball, wrestling with a doggy friend, or rolling over for belly rubs, Maya approaches life with a happy, playful spirit. Now she just needs a forever family to share all those adventures with.  Apply to adopt Maya here:https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/70992/generic Maya is located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. Story
Lomi is a beautiful puppy inside and out. She spends time with her mother and one of her sisters everyday. Her mother is a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix and Lomi is an exact copy of her mother. The father is a Great Pyrenees herd dog from down the road. Lomi has been around a cat, multiple dogs, kids and other people and is great with all of them. Very sweet, smart, and playful. No health issues. She has shots, but is not spayed or microchiped. Lomi is around 3+ months old and weighs around 30+lbs. She will be a big dog. She loves to be outside and explore. I have become pretty attached to her, so rehoming her is going to be difficult. Her mother had 8 puppies. We were able to find homes for 6. We decided to keep one, her sister Priscilla. Lomi was actually claimed by a family before she was even weaned. Unfortunately, they backed out once she became ready to go. Having two puppies with their size and energy, along with my schedule is becoming too much. Let me know if interested.

Story
Mama came in with a whole slew of puppies. The trapper originally said she thought it was just 4 or 5 pups but it ended up being 10! She was living in a shed and being fed but has had limited human interaction. All her puppies have since been adopted.  She loves other dogs and would do well in a home that has another playful dog to bring her out of her shell. She loves to rough house and play tug of war with smaller dogs. Dogs bigger than her are sort of scary and she'll need time to warm up to the big ones. She has been out in the yard with calmer dogs before as well & has done fine. There is only one dog she did not like (Rocko) who was bigger and approaches other dogs like a tank. A meet and greet with any other dogs in the home will be required.  She goes outside and kennels up well but is fearful of human interaction. She allows us to sit in the kennel with her and will take a treat from our hand but is fearful of being petted.  The rescue is primarily interested in getting her into a foster home that may be adoption minded once she settles in. There are only so many social skills we can teach in a kennel setting. She is spayed, up to date on rabies/bordatella/DHPPv/heartworm preventative.  Our process:    We are not a “first come first served” shelter. Our process may be a little longer but it’s designed to make sure animals are going to homes that meet their needs. You may have a great home and be lovely people, but sometimes a dog just isn’t suited for your circumstance. For example, one dog may need a six foot privacy fence due to climbing behaviors while another may be fine with 4 ft chain link. Another dog may need a backyard while another would do fine in an apartment setting. We know our animals pretty well and we don’t want you or your new addition to be forced into something that’s not ideal for everyone.    Schedule a visit with the dog by going to www.copilotanimalrescue.org Feel free to reach out to us by email with additional questions: copilotanimalrescue@gmail.com Fill out an adoption application (you can do this before or after you meet the dog). Message us once you complete the app so we can start working on your references.  Let your vet know (if you have current animals) that we will be calling. They frequently need your permission to give us any info.  Home visit and adoption trial. If all lights are green, we will do a home visit followed by an adoption trial of one week to make sure that everyone is comfortable with the new addition.  Contracts are signed prior to the adoption trial. ##1344357##

Ben has been with us since he was just little pup—and now he’s a 1-year-old Lab mix full of love, silliness, and tail-wagging joy. Growing up in rescue hasn’t dulled his spirit one bit. He LOVES playing in the yard, adores his toys, and gives the best belly-up cuddles and hugs 💕 ✅ Here’s what makes Ben amazing: • Crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night • Super dog friendly and loves making new furry friends • Great mix of playful energy and affection • Would thrive in an active home with room to run • Loves toys, belly rubs, and being silly • Fully vetted and ready to move in!

Story
I received Tucker back in 2017 when he was just 8 weeks old. Tucker has been a great friend. My family describes him as just another human because he acts like a kid and just follows you around wanting to be involved and shown some love. Tucker is house trained, up to date on shots, takes preventative heart worm and flea and tick medication. Listens to commands. He does have some reactive behavior towards other dogs.
