Hi, I’m Chubs! I’m a happy, playful, and calm girl who enjoys life at an easy pace. I love relaxing in my favorite spot in the yard, playing with my sisters, and discovering new things at my own rhythm. I was rescued with my mom and six siblings from the street and we’ve all grown so much since then.I know how to sit and come when called, and I’m learning more every day. My ideal home is a relaxed one—kids are great, and a yard isn’t required. I wouldn’t be the best match for a very active owner, as I prefer a mellow lifestyle. I’m affectionate, just not a constant cuddler, and I like having my personal space. I haven’t lived with cats yet, so that’s unknown. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion, I might be your girl.This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Hi, I'm Black Jack! I'm a happy, playful, and loving dog who enjoys spending time with my humans and dog friends. I love to play, go for walks, and explore new places. Whether I'm running off-leash or walking calmly on a leash, I'm just happy to be with you.I was found alone on the boardwalk, covered in bite wounds, including a large one on my leg. I also had ehrlichia and anemia, but I've recovered well thanks to care and love. I'm very gentle and friendly with everyone. I'm not a guard dog -- I'll happily greet anyone who comes my way. I get along great with other dogs and I'm eager to learn new tricks if you give me the time to train.I would do best with an active young person, a couple, or a family with older kids who want a loyal and playful companion.This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. Hey, I’m Jimbo! I’m a sweet and lovable guy who’s always ready for a hug. I absolutely love snuggling up with my favorite humans, and I might even make little chittering sounds with my teeth when I’m feeling extra cozy or excited. It’s just one of my cute quirks! I’m dog-friendly and get along great with my furry pals. I’m also VERY clever, verging on stubborn at times. I’ve also gone through professional training with one of our local training partners, which has helped me build great manners and show off just how smart I am. I’d love to keep learning even more neat stuff with my future person. With a medium energy level, I’m just as happy lounging around for cuddles as I am going for a walk or playing with my dog friends. If you’re looking for a smart, snuggly, and affectionate companion, I could be the one for you! I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo!
