Hi, I'm Black Jack! I'm a happy, playful, and loving dog who enjoys spending time with my humans and dog friends. I love to play, go for walks, and explore new places. Whether I'm running off-leash or walking calmly on a leash, I'm just happy to be with you.I was found alone on the boardwalk, covered in bite wounds, including a large one on my leg. I also had ehrlichia and anemia, but I've recovered well thanks to care and love. I'm very gentle and friendly with everyone. I'm not a guard dog -- I'll happily greet anyone who comes my way. I get along great with other dogs and I'm eager to learn new tricks if you give me the time to train.I would do best with an active young person, a couple, or a family with older kids who want a loyal and playful companion.This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Born around January 25, 2024, her warm eyes and wagging tail, Lyvia is sure to capture your heart from the moment you meet her. Lyvia's journey to finding her forever home has been nothing short of extraordinary. Alongside her six siblings, she was pulled from her momma by Leon Valley Animal Control. These  officers intervened when they discovered Lyvia and her littermates confined in distressing conditions.   The puppies were all left to endure the sweltering heat in a dry fountain without relief, food or water.   Thanks to the swift action of a good Samaritan who alerted local rescues, Lyvia and her siblings were rescued from their ordeal and given a second chance at life. Despite the hardships she's faced, Lyvia's resilient spirit remains unbroken, and her capacity for love knows no bounds. Lyvia is always watching what is going on.  She takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. Whether she's romping around in the yard or cuddled up for a nap, she's always eager for playtime and affection. So I am sure that LoTS of people and puppies are named after their hometown, right?? Or am I a TRENDSETTER?? Arly is my name and you guessed it!! I was found by a nice young high school kid locked inside a football field;( in ARLINGTON :) Lucky for me, one of the team brought me home and his parents reached out to one of the local police officers who knew just who to call..... So here I am in San Antonio, and if you look It up these two cities are HOURS apart! That was part of my life too...multiple people helping get me safe and rescued. Now I am a delightful pup, smart and ready for my family! I love to play and nap and snuggle. I am waiting for you!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 ( includes transport to your area)
