Story
Meet Boone! 💙🐾 Boone is a sweet young hound with a heart as big as his adorable ears. He came to us from a difficult situation, and while his journey hasn’t been easy, we truly believe his best days are still ahead! Boone has quite a bit of medical care and treatment ahead of him as he works toward becoming the happiest, healthiest version of himself. But here’s the good news: he’s worth every bit of it. 🥰 With love, time, patience, understanding, and a person willing to let him heal at his own pace, Boone is going to blossom. He may need some extra grace and encouragement along the way, but underneath it all is a gentle, lovable boy who is ready to discover what it means to be safe, cherished, and part of a family. We’re looking for someone who understands that rescue isn’t always an overnight transformation. Sometimes it’s a journey—and Boone deserves someone who will walk that journey right beside him. ❤️ Give this sweet boy a little time, a lot of love, and a safe place to land, and just watch him shine. ✨

Story
Barney is a 8-year-old hound boy who would love to meet you! With Barney around, you would never lack conversation and would always have someone on your side. He loves a good treat, a comfy bed and a nice walk to go to all the sniff spots! If you're looking for a semi lazy semi active dog, he is the one for the job! Barney is also in our Mutts with Manners training program! This program gives our residents more enrichment and a chance to show who they are beyond the cards that they have been dealt. Barney is a blue star meaning he has just entered the program and is working on basic commands as well as leash manners!

Story
Meet Weiss!Weiss is a hound mix (mostly American Foxhound + Beagle) with a chill, easygoing personality — happy on the couch or out on a walk. He’s playful and goofy but settles fast. He lives up to his name too — Weiss means wise, and it fits: smart, intuitive, calm and observant rather than reactive. He’s been rock solid with toddlers, patient through the chaos and grabby hands. Good with other dogs, walks well on leash, housetrained and microchipped. With two young kids now in the house, we can’t give him the attention he deserves and want him to be someone’s main focus again.Best fit: active home, daily walks, good with kids and dogs. Cats untested — he perks up at them through the window, so a cat-free home or slow intro is safest.Text/call for photos, video, or a meet — 832.729.8108.

Story
Phoebe is 6.5 years old and around 85 pounds. She is a beautiful, pure bred Bloodhound with a big personality! As it stands, she is too rough with our young toddler and has to be kept separate from him when he is home, which is unfair to Phoebe. She is not aggressive, but is too much for young children and would need a home with older or no children. She is great with older children! She’s truly a great dog, but we simply cannot provide the environment she needs with our growing family. She’s an indoor dog but would need space to run around outside, and she is house trained. She goes to dog daycare and does well with other dogs. She has never been around cats.
