With her gentle personality and sweet nature, she's ready to find a family to call her own. Apple is both house trained and crate trained, making the transition into her new home much easier. She enjoys spending time with other dogs and loves having canine friends to play with, so she'd be happy in a home with another playful pup or as your one-and-only with opportunities for socialization. Like many hounds, Apple is curious and enjoys exploring the world around her. She's currently learning good leash manners and can get excited on walks, so she does pull at times. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, she's sure to continue making great progress. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with soulful hound eyes and a heart full of love, Apple may be the perfect match. She's ready to fill your home with companionship, adventures, and plenty of tail wags! Could Apple be the missing piece of your family? The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. He lives up to his name too — Weiss means wise, and it fits: smart, intuitive, calm and observant rather than reactive.He’s been rock solid with toddlers, patient through the chaos and grabby hands. Good with other dogs, walks well on leash, housetrained and microchipped.With two young kids now in the house, we can’t give him the attention he deserves and want him to be someone’s main focus again.Best fit: active home, daily walks, good with kids and dogs. He loves a good treat, a comfy bed and a nice walk to go to all the sniff spots! If you're looking for a semi lazy semi active dog, he is the one for the job! Barney is also in our Mutts with Manners training program! This program gives our residents more enrichment and a chance to show who they are beyond the cards that they have been dealt. She is a friendly, playful girl who would thrive in an active home and would especially love having a confident, welcoming dog buddy to run, play, and learn from. With medium to high energy, Mango enjoys walks, outdoor adventures, and interactive play with her people. Once she has had her fun, she is all about the snuggles and will happily settle in for some cuddle time. She loves toys, enjoys engaging with her humans, and is learning her crate routine. Treats definitely help. Mango is doing great with potty training and continues to learn the ropes in foster care. She is fully vetted, around one year old, and weighs about 45 pounds of lean hound goodness. Mango is ready for a home that will give her the exercise, affection, and love she deserves.
