Story
We adopted Lady through the mspca. She is 5 years old. She is very happy when she meets new people and loves to play. She is a fox hound so I do not recommend unleashing her for walks and such, as she will follow her nose where ever a smell takes her. She is crate trained. She prefers stuffy toys over balls or ropes. She is trained to use a pad if we have to go out for a day without her, but she doesnt need it. Rehoming is do to myself needing back surgery, its not because of Lady.

Weeman has good house manners, and is mostly house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during his transition to a new home. He has been neutered, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings. Story
Our handsome Fabio is that exceptional, all around family dog, that is rare in rescue. He loves everybody and has not flinched at all during a rescue process that leaves lesser dogs rattled.  We've been trying to piece together Fabio’s backstory, but there's not much to go on. He was found as a country stray, by Animal Control Officers in Charlotte County, North Carolina. Vets say that he is a two year old adult dog.  When no worried owner came forward to collect Fabio, he was transferred to our Connecticut Rescue so that we could script the next chapter of his life.  Throughout the chaotic rescue process, Fabio has been an absolute charmer. He is so full of life, love and personality. He is a gentle, sweet boy who loves everyone. Fabio still has a bit of the puppy Mojo going on, but he is easily exercised with a few daily leash walks. He is a super dog that would do well in any type of environment. Fabio needs a fair amount of exercise and focused playtime so that he does not become bored and get into mischief. He would benefit greatly from ongoing obedience training, which is helpful in providing additional mental stimulation. He is learning his commands, although he can become distracted easily, but he is treat motivated. He responds well to Positive Reinforcement and Leadership techniques, and seems to enjoy his training sessions. He seems to be a confident boy, ready and willing to work. Fabio has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during his transition to a new home. He has been neutered, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings. Beautiful Clover was found stray in a known dog dumping area in rural Virginia. Clover is 2 years old and about 45 lbs. Her Virginia foster says she's a dainty, pretty little coonie; sweet and no trouble at all. She's very loving and friendly, doesn't seem to mind the cats either. She's making progress with housebreaking. She was a little timid but is quickly finding her confidence, loves other dogs and people. Clover will arrive March 28th.
