Female | Born April 17 | Suspected Hound/Pit Mix The only girl in the DeSoto Litter, Filet has made it very clear that she can hold her own with her brothers. Spunky, confident, and full of opinions, she isn’t shy about letting everyone know when she wants attention—or when she thinks cuddle time should start immediately. Filet is the most demanding when it comes to affection and would happily volunteer to be carried around all day if given the opportunity. Her feisty personality is paired with a loving, people-oriented nature that makes her impossible not to adore. Bottle-fed since one week old, Filet has grown up surrounded by human care and attention, helping shape her affectionate and social personality. Story
🐾 Meet Ruckus! 🤎 12 Weeks Old | AMPT Mixed Breed | Sweet, Smart & Ready for Adventure! Looking for a puppy who’s as handsome as he is lovable? Meet Ruckus! With his striking tri-colored coat, adorable caramel “eyebrows,” bright white blaze, and soulful brown eyes, Ruckus is guaranteed to steal your heart before you even meet him. But it’s his sweet personality that will make you fall in love. Ruckus is a happy, affectionate puppy who loves people of all ages, including kids, and enjoys playing with other dogs. He was raised in foster care alongside his littermate, Porter, and the two loved wrestling, playing, and exploring together. Since Porter found his forever home, Ruckus has really come into his own, allowing his playful, goofy personality to shine. These days, one of Ruckus’s favorite things is playing with his foster family’s resident dog. Whether they’re wrestling in the yard, chasing each other around, or simply hanging out together, Ruckus absolutely loves having a canine companion. Because of that, he’d likely enjoy a home with another playful dog, though he would also do well as long as his new family is ready to give him plenty of love, playtime, and enrichment. Like any growing puppy, Ruckus loves treats, toys, walks, and spending time with his people. He’s even learning how to play Frisbee! Whether he’s exploring the backyard, going for a stroll, or joining the kids for outdoor fun, he’s happiest when he’s included in whatever his family is doing. Ruckus is already making great progress with training. He sleeps through the night in his crate without accidents and will even put himself to bed when he needs a nap. He already knows “sit,” is learning to come when called, and is doing well with leash walking. He’s still working on typical puppy manners (like remembering the leash isn’t a chew toy!), but he’s eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement. House training is also coming along nicely, and with continued consistency and patience, he’ll continue to thrive. His foster describes him best: “He’s a great boy that deserves the best home.” If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will grow up alongside your family, make memories with your children, enjoy adventures big and small, and fill your home with love, laughter, and puppy kisses, Ruckus could be the perfect addition. Could your family be the happily ever after Ruckus has been waiting for? ❤️ Apply today through Safe With Us Animal Rescue to meet this special boy!

Story
Brisket is proof that not every puppy has to be full speed all the time. While he still enjoys playing with his siblings and joining in on puppy antics, he tends to take life at a slightly more relaxed pace. Friendly, outgoing, and easygoing, Brisket enjoys both playtime and cuddle time in equal measure. He’s the type of puppy who can happily wrestle with his littermates one minute and settle into your lap the next. Raised as a bottle baby since one week old, Brisket has grown up surrounded by love and human interaction, helping him develop into a sweet and social companion. He is currently working on potty pad training and will soon begin learning outdoor potty manners. His foster says “He is a super playful puppy! Good with kids. Doing amazing with crate training. Potty training, he is trying his hardest and doing well. He is starting to enjoy walking on the leash and exploring new things!”

Story
Jack is a super cute and snuggly boy who is looking for a home of his own! He came to us from a southern shelter so we don`t much about his history, but he has been making lots of friends since he came to us. He has been through a lot of transitions in his short life and can be a little overwhelmed in new situations so he is looking for a family who can help teach him about the world in a safe and fun way. Jack could likely live with another social dog friend who can help show him the ropes.

Story
Meet Annie! Annie is a shy lady searching for a special family. She is a self-proclaimed `homebody` and is looking for adopters who will embrace that. She is a sensitive soul who can take a bit to settle in and open up, but once she is comfortable, she loves finding a comfortable spot on the couch to cuddle up to her favorite humans or to settle with a kong. Don`t let her age fool you--she still has energy and is accustomed to long, leisurely strolls where she can sniff to her heart`s content. Annie has some medical needs that will require a close relationship with a vet. Annie says no thank you to living with dogs but may potentially be able to live with a very dog-savvy cat after careful introductions. Come into the shelter to start the matchmaking process if this old gal sounds like your cup of tea!

Story
I'm Teeka, a 45-pound, 2-year-old mix -- maybe some hound, maybe some Lab, but delightful all around! I was a shelter favorite in Texas because of my calm, easy-going personality. When I went into a foster home, I quickly showed myself to be a wonderful companion dog: I'm affectionate, housetrained, and easy to live with -- the perfect mix of playful and laid back. I get along great with other dogs of all sizes, I walk well on a leash, and I love to play fetch and to spend time with my people. I'm also good with kids and even babies. My rescuer in Texas noted, "The thing everyone says about Teeka is that pictures just don't do her justice. She's one of those dogs you meet once and immediately steals your heart." Come meet me and see for yourself! Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and we will get right back to you.
